Alan Lindsey, 84, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2024. Loving father of William Lindsey and Elizabeth (Kent) Hunter, adored grandfather of Evan, Amelia and Crimson Hunter. Alan was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years Ruth Ann (Mahle) Lindsey and parents Alan and Mary (Altstaetter) Lindsey. Alan was born on December 23, 1940 in Atlanta, GA. He proudly served in the United States Army then met and married Ruth in 1974. They lived in Camden, Ohio where they raised their family. Alan spent his career working as an engineer for General Motors where he retired from in the late 1990's. Alan enjoyed target shooting, bicycling and reading. He donated 100 pints of blood in his lifetime and was a committed member of church; Holy Trinity in Oxford, Ohio. There will be a graveside service at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at Calvary Cemetery immediately followed by a luncheon at the Treasure Island Supper Club. Alan will be laid to rest next to his wife. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Friends Care Community (150 East Herman St. Yellow Springs, Ohio 45387) in Alan's memory.
