Charlene Ward Obituary

Ward, Charlene Sue

Charlene Sue Ward (nee Armbruster) passed away Thursday, December 26, 2024 at the age of 84, with her husband Edwin and her daughter Kathy by her side. Charlene was the devoted wife of 63 years to Edwin Ward and the loving mother to her two daughters (late) Julie Boehmer and Kathy Kremchek and grandmother to Brandon Boehmer, Amanda Cummings, Abagail Uran Munoz, Heather Boehmer, Christopher Kremchek, Emily Kremchek, Sol Kremchek and great grandmother to Gianna Uran Munoz, Cameron Cummings, and Lucia Uran Munoz.

Charlene was born October 9, 1940 to Charles and Hazel Armbruster. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and raised within the neighborhood of Pleasant Ridge. She graduated Woodward High School class of 1958. She married Edwin Ward in 1961 and thereafter moved to Kettering, Ohio. Charlene received her associates degree in nursing from Kettering College of Medical Arts in 1984. She worked at Kettering Hospital for 23 years from 1982 until her retirement in 2005. Charlene eventually moved back to her hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio alongside her husband, in 2015, when they moved to The Kenwood Senior Star.

Charlene had the "gift to gab" and her sense of humor and carefree attitude made her a joy to always be around. Most of all, her contagious laughter will be missed by all who knew her. Charlene left those of us, whom loved her most, with the peace of mind that she had accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.

Charlene's immediate family held a private celebration of life for her January 4, 2025 after her passing. For those she loved so deeply and was loved so deeply by, we will forever miss her. Until we meet again. Memorials in remembrance of Charlene may be made to Queen City Hospice/ Mason 4605 Duke Drive/ Suite 220 Mason, Ohio 45040.
