Gale Hampton

Gale D. Hampton was born February 18, 1957, in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Clarence and Mary Nell Allen. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Carl Wayne Allen, and Tony Christan Allen. Gale acknowledged the Lord Jesus Christ as her lord and savior early in life at Speed Street Church of God in Christ. In Gale's Christian pilgrimage she also united with Temple of Deliverance Church of God in Christ under pastoral leadership of the late Presiding Bishop Gilbert Earl Patterson and finally, connected with Greater Community Temple Church of God in Christ under pastoral guidance of Bishop Brandon Porter.
Gale graduated from Northside High School in 1975 and pursued a career in healthcare profession. In 1982, Gale married her high school sweetheart, Arthur Hampton. and to this union two sons were born, Marius, and Antonio. She continued to pursue greater medical knowledge and in 1992 she graduated from the Methodist School of Nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). She was unwavering, enthusiastic, and compassionate about caring for others.
Gale followed Christ faithfully during her prolonged period of sickness and on January 28, 2025 she heard the voice of Jesus calling her to eternal rest. She leaves the following individuals to cherish the memories of her: Arthur Hampton, a devoted and loving husband, two sons, Marius Hampton (Angela) and Antonio Hampton (Tiffany), along with a host of grand and great grandchildren, cousins, and close friends.
