Marie Webb Obituary

She was born on March 22, 1927 in Johnsonville, Tennessee. Mrs. Webb was a long-time member of Second Presbyterian Church in Memphis and most recently Salem Presbyterian Church in Atoka. She was always serving and giving of herself as a volunteering for the hearing-impaired at White Station High School and the Caring Ministry at Second Presbyterian Church as well as traveling on several mission trips to Native American reservations and then, in her 70s, to Lima, Peru. In her 80s and 90s, Mrs. Webb knitted dolls for her church to give to children of unwed mothers. She is survived by her husband, David Webb; two sons, Michael David Webb and his wife, Teresa, of Lewisburg, Tennessee and Stephen R. Webb and his wife, Lori, of Millington; two grandsons, John Webb and his wife, Ramona, and Austin Webb; and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Webb was preceded in death by her mother, Lottye Schwind, two sisters, and one brother. Arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee 38119 (901) 767-8930. "Where Memphis comes to remember, since 1924."
