He left us on February 15, 2025, at the age of 77 in Memphis, TN. His departure is an immeasurable loss to all who knew him. Sasha was a man of profound intellect, subtle humor, and immense talent. A gifted poet, his words carried the beauty of his soul, reflecting his unwavering love for his homeland, Ukraine, and his new home in the United States. His patriotism to both countries was not just in words but in the way he lived - always with integrity, kindness, and devotion to his roots. To his friends, he was a rare treasure - a true and loyal companion. "It is hard to lose true friends," one wrote. Indeed, Sasha was one of the rarest. He had a way of making people feel seen, valued, and understood. His warmth, wit, and wisdom will be missed beyond measure. As we say goodbye, we take solace in knowing that his soul has found peace.
