Janie Birmingham Obituary

Janie Beth Birmingham, 81, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2025, in Memphis, TN. She was born June 16, 1943, in Charleston, TN. Janie was the daughter of Walter Angus Birmingham, deceased, Ruth Louise Wright, deceased, and sister Patricia Louise Birmingham, also deceased.

She is survived by her only child, Stephanie Wolfe Ragland, and son-in-law David Kenneth Ragland II.

Janie graduated from Byars-Hall High School in Covington, TN. She worked as an administrative assistant at International Paper for over 15 years.

She was a long-time member of Union Ave. Baptist Church in Memphis, TN. To everyone who knew her, Janie was a kind, giving, caring human being. Her love for everyone was unconditional. Faith and family were most important to her. Janie will be deeply missed.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Maley-Yarbrough Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025 at 1 pm at Charleston Cemetery.
