Roselyn Graff

Roselyn "Roz" Graff, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, educator, and traveler, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2025, at the age of 94. Born on October 6, 1930 in Brooklyn, New York, Roz spent much of her early adult life in Long Beach, New York. Masters degree educated, she dedicated herself to shaping young minds as an English teacher, and later as a guidance counselor. Her passion for education and her unwavering support of her students left a lasting impact on countless lives. Roz was also a woman of adventure, with a deep love for theater, photography, travel, and different foods and cultures. She found joy and serenity by the water, whether it was at the beach or aboard her beloved boat, Champagne and Peaches. She spent her last 30 years in Cordova and Germantown, Tennessee. There, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a devout member of Temple Israel. Roz was a loving wife to Edward Graff, who preceded her in death in 2006, and a devoted mother to her daughter, Frances Graff Marino, who died in 2022. She is survived by her son, Larry Graff; her five cherished grandchildren, Lisa (David) Capretto, Alex (Megan) Marino, Carrie (Eric) Boyle, Rachael (Alex) McConnell, and Jacob; and her six great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her legacy of kindness, wisdom, and adventure will live on. A celebration of Roz's life is planned at Temple Israel at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Scleroderma Research Foundation, or a charity of your choice. Roz's adventurous spirit and loving heart will continue to inspire us all.
