Carolyn C Franklin

Carolyn C. Franklin, 93, was born October 6, 1931, and passed away Monday, March 3, 2025. She retired from the Carrier Corporation, where she was Executive Assistant to the Manager. She and her husband, Charlie, both ordained ministers, traveled around the world with the Oral Roberts Crusades, and went on to found churches all over Illinois and Northern Virginia. They finally settled in Memphis, where they established Christ the Rock Church on Winchester Avenue, which grew out of meetings in their living room. Carolyn lived an Overcomers' life and is one in her passing. She brought joy to everyone she met and was loved by all. She was a spiritual Mother to so many. We will all miss her so. Mrs. Franklin is preceded in death by her husband, Charlie G. Franklin; daughter, Courtney Franklin; parents, Joseph and Mildred Croft; brother, Billy Joe Croft; sisters, Frances Croft, and Trudy Croft Webb. Survivors include her daughter, Charlene Franklin of Collierville; son, Chuck Franklin of Boston, MA; grandson, Charles "Charlie" Preston Franklin of Memphis; and sister, Gloria Miller (Tommy) of Fisherville. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 12 pm until 1 pm, followed by funeral services at 1 o'clock, at Brent Taylor Funeral Directors, 534 Poplar Avenue, Collierville, TN 38017. Interment will follow at Memphis Memory Gardens.
