Ms. Reed gave me some of the best advice; "whatever you do, be the best at it!" Awesome math teacher and friend. Her memory will be cherished dearly! The world definitely lost a beacon in Ms. Reed

Mrs.Reed,Rennie and Pam,
Our family would like to express our Sincere Condolences. Verna taught with me years ago. I hadn´t seen her for sometime. Although, when we did run into each other it would be as if no time had lapsed at all. She was a kind heart who knew no strangers. She made Math make sense for so many students. It was (Her Gift). She will be greatly missed. Keeping You and Family in our thoughts and prayers.

Heartfelt condolences to Mrs. Reed and family. There is nothing to say that will remove the pain you are feeling. I pray that in time memories of the heart will help ease some of the pain. Verna and I pledged Zeta Phi Beta, Chi Beta Chapter at Cental State University over 50 years ago. Although I have not seen her in years I will always remember her kindness, laughter and joy. Her light still and will forever shine forever in my heart. My Soror, my sister-friend, may you rest in paradise and in heavenly peace.

Verna was my son's math teacher for the last year and a half. They bonded quickly and he became very close to her. He has been devastated by this loss. She was a one of a kind teacher and person, and we will really miss her.
