Wanda "Juanita" Riley

Wanda P Riley " Juanita",86, passed away April 19, 2025, at Methodist Hospice Residence in Memphis, TN.
She was born July 31, 1938, in Water Valley, MS, to parents Hartle and Limmie Porter Potts. She resided in Water Valley until graduation when she moved to Memphis to start a career at South Central Bell.
She married Alvin Thomas Riley on July 2, 1960, raised a family, and retired from South Central Bell in 1986. She enjoyed 39 years of retirement she focused her time on various activities, volunteered at Christ Church, enjoyed senior activities and road trips, volunteer work with Bell South Pioneers and American Cancer Society, gardening, spending time with grandchildren, family, and friends.
A longtime resident of Memphis, she was preceded in death by her parents, her half brothers and sisters; Bill Potts, Ed Potts, Vesta Adams, Earlene Rosenbaum, Mae Persiani, Esker Potts, George Potts; Virdean Ambrosi, Hartle Potts Jr.; Henry (Boots) Potts and Jack Potts.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas, daughters Tammy Renner (Rob); Kerrye Allen (Terry); and Susan Catanzaro (Joey); a brother Bud Potts (Betty); Grandchildren: Nicole Renner Smith (Josh), Trey Renner, Riley Allen (Lauren), Spenser Allen (Cathy), Michael Catanzaro (Gabrielle), 6 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Christ Church located at 6033 Old Brownsville Road, Bartlett TN 38135 on Thursday, April 24, 2025. Visitation 10:00-11:00 with services following, burial will be at Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery.
