Dr. Cooper was my doctor. I was a very shy child & had frequent tonsillitis. I remember him always being patient & kind with me. I've not had a better doctor in all my 55 years. My condolences to his family & friends.

My condolences. Dr. Cooper was my three oldest daughters, pediatrician. He was always such a nice man and took excellent care of my girls. Many prayers. Rest in heaven, Dr. Cooper.

Im so saddened to hear of Dr Cooper's passing. He was such an amazing physician, and the only one I completely trusted all three of my children (now in their late 30's & early 40's) with, and he quite LITERALLY saved my daughter's life. Because of change of my husband's health insurance at work when my daughter was 2 we were required to go with a pediatrician under his insurance. My daughter was sick off an on for a yr and none of the pediatric Drs under that insurance was able to find out what was wrong with her, kept misdiagnosing her for that yr we were under that insurance co. A yr later we were able to opt out of that health insurance co, got set up under his previous ins Co and immediately got my daughter back in to Dr Cooper. He took one look at her, got X-rays, & told us to take her to Mercy and he was going to get care flight set up to get her to Children's hospital for surgery asap. Come to find out she had a colioductal cyst the size of a half dollar in the bile duct that went from her liver to her small intestine. He said it was a miracle she wasn't jaundiced and that she was still alive, because hardly any bile was leaving her system. For a yr she was misdiagnosed by numerous Drs - and it only took ONE look from the amazing Dr Cooper to save my daughter. I will be forever grateful and appreciative to and of him. Although I liked the other Drs at pediatric associates, it was Dr Cooper I always requested to have my children see, because I trusted him 100% with my childrens' lives. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, and my heart goes out to them. He was an amazing man and an amazing Dr. He has never been, and never will be forgotten.

Dr. Cooper was my pediatrician. Then years later my daughter's pediatrician until he retired. I cried and told him he couldn't retire. He laughed and said " I have to retire sometime!" I was a real pain at pediatrics as a child. I'm pretty sure I was crying really hard and as the story goes I grabbed Dr Cooper's tie and blew my nose on it!!! He was still nice to me. When I was a new young mother, he never made me feel like a burden or stupid when I would call after hours worried about something silly with the baby. He was one in a million.

I first met Dr. Cooper as his receptionist and later as a nurse at MMC. He was a wonderful caring physician. The world was a better place because of him. My deepest condolences to his family.

I just have to give credit were credit is due. Dr. Cooper was the best pediatric doctor in the Springfield area. He was truly missed when he left the Pediatrics Assoc. on Lexington Ave. He took great care of my children and I always felt safe with them in his care. Well done thy good and faithful servant, well done. God has a special place for you, RIP, you're home. GOD comfort Dr. Cooper's family during this difficult time.

My family suffers from a rare genetic disease. The entire family needed testing. We couldn't locate a Dr for my husband because no one knew what we needed. Dr. Cooper said he would test him and didn't even charge us because he said it was a learning experience for him
