Joe Pierson Obituary

Joe Allen Pierson Jr., age 65, of Olive Branch, Mississippi, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2025. Joe was born July 3, 1959 in Salem, Arkansas. He enjoyed playing football and basketball growing up. His favorite place to be was outside, cutting the yard, gardening, anything to be outdoors. Joe was generous person, always willing to help or lend a hand. He was a supervisor with Smith Transportation Equipment where he worked with his best friend/brother, Danny Smith. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Connie Pierson; children, Corye Gatlin (Joey), Katie Pass, Joe Pierson III (Nicole), and Rachel Watson (Chance); grandchildren, Haley, Breanna, Dalton, Kamryn, Katelynn, Kyndall, Keeley, David, Jacob, Cristian, Ethan, Olivia, Braylee, and Oaklee; great-nephew, Jace; great-niece, Jyma; and great-grandchildren, Lillie Kate and Janie Mae. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Allen Pierson, Sr. and Cecil Ann Pierson and sister, Joyce Lawler. A visitation for Joe will be held Thursday, May 22, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave, Memphis, TN 38122. A graveside service will occur Friday, May 23, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Memphis Memory Gardens, 6444 Raleigh Lagrange Rd, Memphis, TN 38134.
