Howard Steinberg Obituary
St. Petersburg, FL - Howard David BJ Steinberg favorite local musician, loving father, grandfather and husband passed away on June 3, 2025 in hospice care in St. Petersburg Florida. He was known for his incredible talent on guitar and pedal steel guitar, his professionalism, and his great sense of humor. He spent 35 years as a consultant to the Social Security Disability system's Office of Hearing Operations. He enjoyed baseball, music, playing with his grandchildren, and spending time with good friends. Howard cared for others less fortunate than he and served on many nonprofit boards. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Janice, his sons Lyle of Mequon Wisconsin and Matt of Guildford Vermont and grandchildren Madeleine, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Morris of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Viviana and Louis Vincenzo of Guildford Vermont, and his brother Robert Steinberg of Stuart Florida.
A celebration of life and jam session will be held on July 26 from 12 until 2 o'clock at Hannah Hall, First Congregational Church, 79 Clinton St., Concord, NH. Musicians are invited to bring their instruments. All are welcome to come and enjoy music, share remembrances about BJ, or just to dance and listen.
Howard will be laid to rest at Pine Grove Cemetery in East Concord at 3 o'clock. Please feel welcome to come and pay your final respects.
