Donald Samples Obituary

Donald Eugene Samples, Jr., passed away on June 27, 2025, at the VA Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Teresa Hollingsworth, and his son, Landon Samples. Don proudly served in the United States Navy, a time in his life that reflected his sense of duty and strength. He is predeceased by his father, Donald Eugene Samples, Sr., and is survived by his mother, June Samples, of Tunica, Mississippi. Throughout his life, Don faced significant personal struggles and mental health challenges. Despite these difficulties, he is remembered for his resilience and the moments of quiet connection he shared with those close to him. His passing brings peace from the burdens he carried, and his family hopes his spirit is finally at rest. Don enjoyed music, spending time outdoors, and caring for his pets, who brought him comfort and companionship. His story serves as a reminder of the importance of compassion, healing, and understanding. A private memorial will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Community Cats of Central Arkansas in memory of Don's love and compassion for animals.
