Roseanne Patricia Tenanes

Brattleboro, VT - Roseanne Patricia Tenanes passed away peacefully on May 11th, 2025 at Pine Heights in Brattleboro, VT surrounded by her daughters Denise and Doreen and granddaughter Nikole.

She was born on Independence Day and she did the day proud by being an independent woman, instilling the same in her family.

She is survived by her daughters Denise (Liston) Wallenius, husband Robert Wallenius and Doreen (Tenanes) McConley, husband Stephen McConley, grandchildren Erin Kawecki, husband Peter Jenest, Jody Wallenius, partner Matt Blouin and Nikole Bunker, husband Lynden Bunker along with many great grandchildren whom she loved and cared for, and many nieces and nephews. Pat's love of learning, strength and self-reliance continue to live on in her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Known as "Pat", she worked many jobs throughout her life, but the role she was most proud of was her position as a receptionist at the welfare office, where she enjoyed connecting with and supporting members of the community. In order to earn this position, Pat returned to school later in life to complete her education, an achievement she held with great pride. She often encouraged others to pursue their education, no matter their age or circumstance.

She was an avid member of the YMCA for many years. She always encouraged her family to stay healthy as she was a strong advocate of eating well and exercising regularly. She was also an avid reader before glaucoma and macular degeneration took her eyesight.

She was preceded in death by her brother Edward Liston, sisters Florence Dumond, Claire Melnik, Margaret Olzewski, and Phyllis Nielson.

No funeral services are planned as was her wish. The family invites those who wish to remember Pat to do so in a way that feels personally meaningful.
