Salvadore Ricciardone Obituary
MECHANICVILLE - Salvadore Ricciardone, Jr., 56 of West Street, died Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at Samaritan Hospital, Troy, after several medical complications.
Born in Troy, on February 18, 1969, son of Alice Davin Ricciardone and the late Salvadore Ricciardone Sr. (Richards), Sal was a 1987 graduate of Mechanicville High School.
A forklift mechanic for Tri-Lift Co of Albany, Sal had worked for several paper mills earlier in his career.
He enjoyed fishing and trapping, and for a number of years, enjoyed four-wheeling, or "mudding," with his friends. Sal was an avid auction hunter, always looking for that special relic. He was a wonderful son who looked after the domestic and medical needs of his disabled mother, and was a true friend of his brother and proud "UNCO" to his two nephews.
Survivors, in addition to his mom, Alice, include his loyal brother, Nicholas and wife, Jenny Rice Ricciardone of Clifton Park; loving nephews, Salvadore and Anthony Ricciardone; along with friends and neighbors.
No formal ceremony is planned, as Sal requested private services at the convenience of his family.

Mrs. Ricciardi and Nick. I'm sorry for your loss. Sal was more than a friend. He was always a devoted young man. Better than any words can describe. Sal and I had so many fun times. He was loved by even my parents. Along with many other parents. Whenever I was traveling through town after moving away it seemed we were ment to see each other as we would see each other somewhere in town. I have Nothing but Great things to say about Sal. To you folks I can only hope you can find some kind of peace and comfort in knowing what an awesome son/brother you folks have layed to rest. I will keep you all in our prayers.

Alice and Nick, We are saddened to hear about Sal´s passing. We watched him grow up to become a caring young man. Our thoughts and prayers are with you both. Rest in Peace, Sal.
