In the early '70s, Mr. Lanasa was the principal when I attended Jefferson school. Jewish a fun principal, always smiling, even if he was chastising a student. He was an imposing figure with a heart of gold, andhad the respect of everyone. R.I.H

My sincere condolences to the family. Pete and family were such good neighbors when I was growing up near the corner of Miriam Drive and Rio Lane.

My sincerest sympathy to Flo and family. I met Pete when he was a student teacher at Stivers High School in 1957, and we worked together for 12 years at Kemp School in Dayton. He was a good friend and educator and will be missed by many whose path he crossed.
