Athol, MA - With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of a remarkable man, Kenneth "Scoop" Fish, who left us on July 19, 2025. Born on June 23, 1968, in Athol, Massachusetts, Kenneth lived a life that was as vibrant and engaging as his personality. A loving son, husband, father, and friend, Kenneth was the embodiment of dedication, love, and ambition. He was the kind of man who not only brought laughter into our lives with his funny anecdotes but also inspired us with his unwavering dedication to his loved ones and his work.

Kenneth, a proud member of the Massachusetts Laborers Local Union~ Local 39, spent over 25 years contributing his skills and energy as a construction laborer. His ambition shone through in his work, as well as in his personal achievements. He was a decorated sportsman, with accolades including his place in the AHS Hall of Fame 1984 Undefeated Football Team, the Curtis O' Brien Memorial Award, 1980 Elks Little League Championship,1998 Second Team and 2000 Third Team All American Men A's Modified Pitch National Championship playing for Westminster Chiropractic, coached Legion Little League teams to two championships and several River Rat Paddling awards with his sons and friends.

Yet, for all his accomplishments, what mattered most to Kenneth was the joy of spending time with his family, friends, and his cherished dogs, Mia and Sadie. His love for the outdoors was infectious, whether he was fishing, hunting, or traveling. His passion for life and his love for his family were palpable. He wore many hats - a lifetime member of the Tully City Council Club, Miller River Beagle Club, and the Franco American Club; a coach for local youth Street Hockey & Little League Baseball teams,

and a courageous fighter who battled cancer with strength and grace. As Maya Angelou once said, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Those who knew Kenneth will always remember how he made them feel – loved, appreciated, and included.

Kenneth leaves behind his devoted wife, Angela Fish; his loving mother, Sharon Fish; his proud sons, Colin (Kelly Costa) and Zachary (Jocelyn Trenga); his supportive siblings, Kevin (Annette) Hurtle, Kurtis (Mary) Hurtle, Kim (Scott) Jarvenpaa; his cherished dogs, Mia and Sadie and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law, Philip Craft and Jack (Mary) Craft, and his mother-in-law, Pauline Hayes. Kenneth was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Fish Sr., his grandparents, Janice (Dennis) Sullivan, Kenneth Oscar Fish and his uncles Raynor, James and Barry Patrick.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 12 pm in the Mack Family Funeral Home, Athol-Orange Chapel, 110 New Athol Road, Orange. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 10 am - 12 pm. Burial will be private at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that donations be made in his memory to Athol/Royalston Athletic Association c/o Donna Lajoie 2363 Main Street Athol, MA 01331 or charity of choice.
