Fort Worth, TX - Peter Mills Church (1950 – 2025)
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Peter Mills Church, age 74, of Fort Worth, Texas. Peter passed away peacefully at his home on the morning of July 5, 2025.
Born on July 31, 1950, in Northampton, Massachusetts, to Shirley and Grover Church, Peter spent his childhood enjoying fishing, bike riding, and building model cars. He attended Northampton High School and began his career at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, later dedicating over 40 years to the machine manufacturing industry. He retired from Heat Fab in Turners Falls, Massachusetts.
Following retirement, Peter relocated to Texas to be closer to his daughter and family. He embraced this new chapter with joy-cruising the Caribbean, reading, painting, and cherishing time with his grandson.
Peter was preceded in death by his parents, Shirley and Grover Church. He is survived by his brother Steve Church and family, sister Barbara Bak and family, daughter Jessica Brown, son-in-law Arthur Brown and grandson Benjamin Brown.
In honor of Peter's generous spirit, donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a cause he supported faithfully for many years.
A graveside service will be held at Saint Mary's Cemetery in Northampton, Massachusetts, on August 9, 2025, at 9am in the Morning Star section. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Deerfield Inn at 11:00 AM. Family, friends, and children are warmly invited to attend and celebrate Peter's life and memory.
