Rosalba M. "Rosie" Zygmont

Amherst, MA - Rosalba "Rosie" (McCormick) Zygmont, 99, of Amherst, passed away on Sunday July 27, 2025, at Center for Extended Care in Amherst. She was born in Northampton on March 26, 1926, to the late Robert and Olive (Massey) McCormick.

She attended school in Northampton, and later met and fell in love with her Charles Zygmont and soon married. Together, Rosie and Charles loved farming and raising asparagus. In her free time Rosie enjoyed playing cards, shopping and traveling with her husband visiting different farms and farmland.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews and extended family.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Charles Zygmont, and her 15 siblings.

Calling hours will be Monday August 4, 2025, from 10 AM – 11 AM at the DROZDAL FUNERAL HOME, 120 DAMON RD., NORTHAMPTON. A prayer service will begin at 11 AM in the Funeral Home. Burial will immediately follow in Old Hadley Cemetery, Hadley.
