WILLIAM COLEMAN

Chesterfield, MA - William 'Bill' Pattison Coleman, son of Elmer and Elizabeth (Pattison) Coleman died peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Born in Northampton, grew up in Chesterfield and attended local schools. Graduated from Northampton High School, class of 1955. Served for 3 years in the army and was stationed in France, where he proudly played both football and baseball for the Army. He worked and retired from First National Stores (Stop and Shop stores).

Volunteered coaching PeeWee and Boys Baseball. Member of the Recreational Committee, Chesterfield 4 Seasons Club, Life member of Northampton Elks #997 where he volunteered for many years on the Bingo Team. Bill loved the outdoors, an avid deer hunter and maintained a large vegetable garden. He also loved cruising, the ocean, camping, playing softball, golfing and his many friends. He was a loyal Red Sox, Patriot, Celtics and Bruins fan. He loved cheering for his granddaughter at her many sporting events and the many trips he and his wife Mary made to the Finger Lakes wine country.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ann of 64 years, his son Scott Coleman and his wife Ginger of Chicopee, beloved granddaughter Andrea Coleman, Sister-in-law Judith Zuchowski, her husband Edward Sr, niece, Sandra Groth and husband Mike of Aurora NY, nephew Mike Zuchowski, nephew Ed Zuchowski Jr. and wife Debra and many cousins and friends.
