Janice Joyner Obituary

Janice Sue Maddox Joyner, 78, a beloved mother and devoted member of her faith community, passed away on July 31, 2025. Born on October 14,1946 in Amity Arkansas, Janice's unwavering faith guided her life and her approach to motherhood. As a mother and grandmother, Janice instilled her strong values and love for Jesus in her family. She was a kind, caring and giving person who always put the needs of her family before her own. She was a strong woman who faced every challenge in her life with courage and dignity. Our mother was a source of inspiration to us all and she will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched. Janice is survived by her husband - Bobby Joyner, her four children - Sharon Shemwell(Mike), Melanie Simmons(Kenny), Edward "Lee" Maddox(Stephanie) and Brandt Maddox(Julie). Janice also leaves behind eleven grandchildren and great grandchildren. A service will be held on August 5th at Forest Hill Funeral Home - 2440 Whitten Rd, Memphis, TN 38133.
