Bill was my Sunday School teacher at Wesley while I was in high school. I'm sure it wasn't easy, and it was probably painfully awkward to force conversation a lot of the time, but he did it for a few years. I always appreciated having Bill there to talk to. He was very welcoming and accepting of all of us. He helped me get my foot in the door at the Concord Monitor where I ended up working for 13 years and got so many other opportunities because of it. I'm so grateful for Bill.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I met Bill when he wrote about a project I worked on with some Dartmouth students. He showed great curiosity about the world and was always a delight to talk with. I enjoyed reading his work over the years and catching up with him on campus. He will be missed.

Paula and boys, I am so very sorry for your terrible loss. I worked with Bill for a decade in the communications office at Dartmouth. He did love to write! We were lucky to have benefited from his talent for so long.

My heart goes out to Paula, Will, and Nate. Bill was a wonderful guy and I remember him being at all our thanksgivings and Christmas holidays. A good friend who always brought joy to those around him. I will miss him. Rest in peace my friend

My deepest sympathies to William´s family and friends, I did not have the honor of knowing him but I do have the honor of working with Nate.
