Pamela Noyes Obituary

Pamela J. Noyes

Buckland, MA - Pamela J. Noyes, 51, passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 24th at Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield after a long, well-fought battle with cancer.

Born in Greenfield, MA, on October 6, 1973 she was the daughter of Kenneth and Donna (Quinn) Noyes. Growing up locally she was a 1992 graduate of the Mohawk Trail Regional High School in Buckland and later attended classes at Greenfield Community College. Pam had a passion for helping those in need and dedicated her life to caring for and supporting children with special needs. In this endeavor she worked as an Educational Support Specialist in schools in Greenfield and Buckland/Shelburne.

One of Pam's favorite places was the beach where she enjoyed spending time in the sun with Chris & Alex. She particularly cherished her time with her dear friend, Sandra Demers, including their Saturday shopping trips. Pam thoroughly enjoyed her long conversations with her friend until the end, Grace Dow, whom she supported through her paraprofessional role all the way from kindergarten to high school.

Pam was a passionate supporter of Relay for Life and Rays of Hope where she found healing and empowerment from her time spent exploring her artistic talents.

Pam leaves behind her partner Chris Sabin and his son Alex of Greenfield; her father Kenneth Noyes of Colrain, her brother Andrew Noyes and his wife Lisa of Halifax, VT; her nieces Miranda Saladino and her husband Joseph of Jacksonville, VT and Samantha Noyes of Williamstown, MA; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was pre-deceased by her mother Donna Noyes in 2016.

A celebration of life will be held at Terrazza on Saturday, November 22 from 4 to 8pm., please RSVP to Chris at 413-325-1652. Donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society or Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

Pam was an amazing para and caregiver. She gave her all to the many students she assisted over the years. She was thoughtful, compassionate, patient and creative. Outside of family we did not leave the care of our children with anyone else but Pam. We trusted her completely and for good reason. She was in the truest way a loving and gentle soul. She was unrelenting in her battle with cancer. Now she can rest. There are many that mourn her passing. She will be carried in the hearts and memories of many that had the privilege of getting to know her.

Pam babysat my three kids for a few years. She was a loving and creative caregiver. When drying the kids hair after a bath, Pam would say, chugga, chugga choo, choo as she rubbed their heads with a towel. I still think of that phrase, decades later, when I dry my own hair. Pam made going to work and leaving my children possible because I knew they were in capable and loving hands. I could never have thank her enough for all the positive ways she impacted our family. She will be missed by many.

Pam worked with a student in my classroom at Greenfield Middle School. She was amazing. She provided exceptional support to Grace and all members of our classroom. I was so blessed to have her with me. I am truly saddened to hear of her battle with cancer and her passing.

Glad you are now at peace. Your love and compassion shone through in everything you did. Memories will live on from the caring support you gave. I still clearly remember the first time we met when Jayden and Alex were in kindergarten and Jayden wanted Alex to come for a playdate. A lasting friendship between Alex and Jayden was formed that day.
