Janet Beauchesne Obituary

Janet Dorothy Beauchesne

Allenstown, NH - Janet Dorothy (Auprey) Beauchesne, 72, a lifelong resident of Allenstown, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, October 6, 2025, after a courageous battle for a year and a half with pancreatic cancer.

She was born on August 12, 1953, in Concord, NH, daughter of the late Albert and Constance Marie (Spaulding) Auprey.

Jan married the love of her life, Ernest "Ben" Beauchesne in 1971 and they shared 54 wonderful years together.

Jan worked for the NH Department of Health and Human Services in Concord for 33 years, first as the human resources manager and later as a business systems analyst, retiring in 2004. She then went on to work part-time for 16 years at Concord Hospital as an ER registrar.

Jan loved trips to Ogunquit Beach in Maine, girls' trips shopping and cruises with her friends. A self-described "foodie," she enjoyed going out to eat, especially trying new restaurants. Jan loved to be fit and enjoyed exercising. Most importantly, she cherished time spent with her beloved family. Jan was always smiling, always ready for a laugh, and lived for the good times shared with family and friends. Her joy for life will never be forgotten.

In addition to her parents, Jan was predeceased by her nephew, Albert Auprey.

She is survived by her husband, Ben Beauchesne; daughters, Nicole Cassidy of Hebron, NH and Melissa Morin and her husband, Mike of Washington, NH; grandchildren, Gage Cassidy, Hailey Tremaine, Dylan Tremaine, Noah Morin, Griffin Cassidy and Jackson Morin; brother, Jim Auprey of Manchester, NH; and her beloved cat, Pepper.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 10AM-11AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 10 School Street, Allenstown. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11AM. Interment will immediately follow at St. John the Baptist Cemetery – NEW, River Road, Allenstown.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Jan's memory to Granite VNA Hospice, 30 Pillsbury Street, Concord, NH 03301 or to the NH SPCA, PO Box 196, 104 Portsmouth Avenue, Stratham, NH 03885. Very sad to hear about my childhood friends passing. My best friend in grammar school and high school and then we lost touch. Just yesterday I thought of her and then today I read the obituary. Rest in peace my friend.
