Larry Jones Obituary

Larry O. "Duck" Jones was born on April 2, 1959 in Rossville, Tennessee to Herman and Daisy Jones.

Larry accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of St. Luke Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Fayette-Ware High School in Somerville, TN.

He departed his earthly life on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at his home in Rossville. He was preceded in death by his parents Herman and Daisy Jones; four brothers, Herman Jones, Jr., L.C. Jones, Willie C. Jones, and J.C. Jones; and two sisters Frankie Lee Odomes and Beverly Lynn Irby.

Larry leaves to cherish his memory one daughter, Lakeita Dixon; two brothers, Minister Calvin Jones (Roberta) of Memphis, TN and Minister Bobby Jones of Cayce, MS; three sisters, Mae M. Nowley, Mary M. Jones both of Memphis, TN and Marilyn Davidson of Rossville, TN; one grandson, Ladarrius Bates; 3 great-grandchildren and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.

Visitation Saturday, October 18, 2025 from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. at H.C. Jett-H.C. Ford Funeral Home, 203 Washington St., Collierville, TN 38017. Funeral service Sunday, October 19, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at New Stinson Community Church, 230 Frazier Rd., Rossville, TN 38066. Interment in Charity Gardens Cemetery, 6570 Highway 57, Rossville, TN. Pastor Linda Key officiating.
