Age 96, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Wayman Chapel AME Church, 3317 Hoover Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45402. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Interment: Dayton National Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to THOMAS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 4520 Salem Ave. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.thomasfunerals.com

Although miles away, you were near and dear to our hearts. Your picture is just the way we remember you, beautiful inside and out. A smile that brought peace. We thank God for His promise plus 26 years. Aunt Dorothy, we will hold the memories tight, but we will not say goodbye, but goodnight and we will see you in the morning. May our Dayton family be comforted in knowing she is resting in the arms of Our Saviour. In sympathy and love

Sending my deepest condolences to the family. Mother Hastings was the most genuine woman that I´ve ever known. I loved to listen to her talk because her voice was so calming to me. She will surely be missed. Rest in peace Mother Hastings
