Debra Koltookian Obituary

Debra (Asby) Koltookian

Bow, NH - Debra (Asby) Koltookian, 68, of Bow, NH, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2025 following a sudden illness.

Deb was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Marjorie Asby of Concord, N.H., her eldest brother, Peter S. Asby, Jr. of Virginia Beach, Va., and her younger sister, Karen S. Partridge of Concord, N.H.

A Concord resident for decades, Deb was co-owner of The Outdoor Sports Center with her husband of 46 years, Levon, whom she built a family-and an everlasting legacy. Deb and Lev met at the Tom Collins Store on the heights and began a lifelong union that would endure and inspire so many of us. If marriage were a language, Deb and Lev became fluent. Together, they raised two children, John and Leah, while steadily building The Outdoor Sports Center into a lasting presence in Concord.

Deb worked for the State of NH briefly. She spent much of her life in the family business. Not a day passed that she didn't acknowledge her good fortune of experiencing family, friends, and doing as little work as possible. If she wasn't calling out to "LEVVV!" to see what he was doing, she was fielding calls, chatting with customers, and ducking out a little early each day. Deb and Lev were set to retire at the end of 2025 and, in a way, Deb's life was spent in "micro retirement"-as all of ours should be. She surrounded herself with loved ones and was unwilling to compromise. When she wasn't working, Deb was often with family, spending time at the lake, or spoiling her grandkids.

She will always be "Nana" to Ella, Addie, Bryce, and Cameron and loved spending time with them. Deb was funny and sassy. Wherever she was, there was happiness, love, and things seemed a little brighter.

For someone who was always sarcastic, deeply loved, and still mischievous on occasion, Deb brought out the best in everyone she met. Her reach was far and wide in the community. She will be deeply missed by the love of her life, Levon; her son and daughter-in-law, John and Michele Koltookian; her daughter and son-in-law, Leah and Keith Lundquist; her brother, Bill Asby; her sister-in-law, Sona Koltookian; her nephew, Dan Partridge; and countless other nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and neighbors.

Deb loved her country and was known to choke up at even a few stray notes of the National Anthem. She also loved animals - leaving Smitty Kitty, a temperamental Maine Coon, in the somewhat reluctant hands of Lev. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Gary Sinise Foundation (honoring our nation's veterans and first responders) at www.garysinisefoundation.org or the Live and Let Live Farm's Rescue and Sanctuary, www.liveandletlivefarm.org in her memory.

A celebration of life will be forthcoming in the spring. That's exactly how Debbie would have wanted it and if it wasn't, she would certainly let everyone know.

Our moms were the best of friends and our family´s spent many happy times together. Especially camping all summer at the Men´s Club. We would walk up to the Lobster Pool and buy a bunch of penny candy then walk back and sit under the wooden bridge and smoke cigarettes we had snuck from our mothers, LOL!!! No one can take these memories from me. She will be forever missed and loved by our family. Give our mothers hugs from me when you get to the other side. God Speed, Debbie, Luv you forever!!!!

Lev & Family I am sorry to hear that Deb has passed onto Glory. We went back as friends while working at the DQ in the 70's. Deb had that tongue and cheek hilarious humor back then and I'm told she never lost that trait. Deb checked in on me while I was Ill in 2018 and I am forever grateful. May Deb Rest In Peace. Very Sorry.

My thoughts and prayers go out to you Levon and family and Bill. I remember Deb from the Mens Club days in the 70s. I practically lived at her house since Karen and I were such good friends and our parents were friends. I loved it when you would bring home ice cream from the Dairy Queen where you worked. You were definitely Karen's very cool sister. I hope the two of you are having fun in heaven along with Sis.

I knew Debbie since Concord High School. I also met Levon from my friend Eddie Sampadian. Time has moved quickly especially when we lose a friend, Mom, Sister, and wife.
May Debbie rest in peace. Dave

I grew up beside the Asbys and always kept the friendship alive and well. Deb was a standout for sure and was good friends with my 2 sisters as well all grew up together off of Dover rd / Haines rd. Deb always asked about my family and how everyone was with her unique way when I was at the sports center or at the house where lev and Deb lived. I feel she was like a 3rd sister to me we always laughed at the crazy stuff that happened growing up. We always talk about the ride she gave me in the MG to Hampton Beach to spend the week with Bill and family as I was 12 or 13 it was the ride I will never forget!! RIP Deb and thank you for all the memories we had young kids and Adults. Your special. Charles Benson and family --

When my Mom (Karen, Deb's younger sister) passed in 2018, Aunt Deb was one of the few who convinced me that grieving wasn't just a phase, but a lifelong hurdle. She was, in many ways, my rock during that difficult time. We laughed, loved, cried, and argued together. She'll always hold a special place in my heart.

Lev, John, Leah -- I'm so sorry for your loss. Stay strong and remember: I'm here if you need me.
