Margaret Shepardson Obituary
Athol, MA - Margaret (Peggy) J. Shepardson (née Loverro) passed away December 19, 2025. She was born in Athol on February 12, 1951, to Dominic and Margaret Loverro. Peggy was predeceased by her husband Robert (Bob) Shepardson (d. February 28, 2020). She is survived by her children Stacy and Ken Perry of Dudley, MA; Eric and Adrienne Shepardson of Baltimore, MD; her grandchildren Miranda and Kayla Shepardson, Evan and Noah LePage; close relatives Judy and Bill Howland, and several other relatives in the region. Peggy was known for co-organizing the Athol Hatchet Hunt for over 35 years with Bob. She obtained her Associate's Degree from Mount Wachusett Community College, spent many years working as a special education professional assistant in the Athol school system, as well as a medical assistant with Quabbin Valley Health Care. She loved Bingo and playing cards with family and friends. The family has opted for private services at this time. So sorry for your loss. I will always treasure my youth as a child growing up in Athol. We always had so much fun just being kids. In school and out of school. I will always remember Peggy as being young and full of life because all my memories are from that time. You will be missed.

Peggy and I had many adventures in the old Rambler she had, taking roads we weren't even sure were roads. She was a dear forever friend.

To All of Peg's family- Your family is being thought about and wished much comfort in the days and weeks to come. I hope the thought of she and Bob being reunited will bring you some peace and comfort. I'm remembering the many times I was at Peg and Bob's pool with the Baxter Girls and how welcoming they were.6
