Marjorie Place Obituary

Marjorie Mason Place

Lebanon, NH - Marjorie Mason Place of Lebanon, NH flew on angels wings to her savior's arms in Heaven and passed on January 5, 2026 after a long life and an illness that was supposed to take her from us a long time ago. She was a young wife and mother who worked hard while loving her husband and raising their three children. Margie was born on March 27, 1928 in Hanover, NH to Helena LeBrun Mason and Fred Mason.

She eloped with Clyde Place of Orleans, VT. In 1944 before he deployed with the Navy. She was 16 and he was 17. A year later they started their family with a son Clyde in 1946, a daughter Claire in 1947, and a daughter Barbara in 1948.

She loved ice skating. She welcomed strays of all kinds, humans and animals alike, if they needed someone to love them. She was caring and daring and devoted to her family.

She is survived by her two daughters Claire Walton of Enfield and Barbara Trombley of White River, VT.; five grandchildren, Rhonda and Robin of PA, Scott of ID, Benjamin of NC, and Mark of TX; eight great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Clyde and her son Clyde.

Her rose gardens were always something special and beautiful, as were the giant tomatoes she would grow.

Family and friends are invited to Marjorie's calling hours at the Ricker Funeral Home in Lebanon on Tuesday January 13th from 5 to 7 PM. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church in Lebanon on Wednesday January 14th at 11 AM. Reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers Margie would ask that you donate to the animal rescue of your choice.
