Hanover, NH - Christopher "Weeze" Wyle, passed away on January 11, 2026, at the age of 55.

Born on June 7, 1970, in Port Chester, NY. Chris grew up in Lyme, NH and attended Hanover High School, where he lettered in football and lacrosse. He went on to attend the University of New Hampshire, playing rugby for the Wildcats before graduating in 1992. After graduation, Chris moved to Boston where he worked in the financial services industry, including many years at Fidelity Investments where he was a vice president, before moving back to New Hampshire in 2018 and retiring in 2020.

An avid gardener, Weeze took great pride in his tomatoes and especially garlic, growing twice as much as was needed every year. He loved golf, and traveled the world playing with his friends, rarely breaking a hundred. He was a voracious reader and book collector, with a preference for the classics that most people only read when forced to in high school, as well as the uplifting works of Stephen King and Cormac McCarthy. He grew up as a Pittsburgh Steeler fan because they were the only team that could beat the Cowboys in the Super Bowl. He loved his dogs and cats, especially his German Shepherd Sophie.

Weeze held on fiercely to his convictions that pop culture peaked in the 1990s, that Larry Bird is the greatest basketball player ever, the 1986 Boston Celtics the best team ever, that no song will ever surpass Johnny Cash's 'Ring of Fire' and that Hanover High athletes will always be Marauders.

Above all else, Chris was a loyal and dedicated friend, a loving and devoted son, a supportive and sarcastic brother/brother-in-law, as well as a doting uncle. He is survived by his mother Andrea, father Steve, stepmother Liza, brother Stever, sister-in-law Kathy, niece Dallas and nephew Justin.

In lieu of flowers, Chris would have preferred a donation to the ASPCA or your local animal shelter. A Tribute Toast in his honor will held this summer.
