Brenda Silver Obituary

Brenda Silver

Webster, NH - Brenda (Blanchette) Silver, a lifelong Webster, New Hampshire resident, passed away unexpectedly on January 15th. Born in Concord on July 11th, 1960, to Harry and Pauline Blanchette, she grew up in Webster, the community she proudly called home. In 1983, Brenda married Leslie (Les) Silver, and soon after bought their family home on Route 127.

Brenda was working at Mellen Company (Webster, NH) when she decided to stay home and raise her girls. In 2004, she returned to the workforce, taking a position at Webster Elementary School, where she managed the school lunch program. Brenda loved this job and was an inspiration to many children in her 15+ years there. Additionally, for many years, she served as a ski coordinator for the WES Ski Program at Pats Peak.

A pillar of the Webster community, she served nearly 20 years as cemetery commissioner and Old Home Day chairwoman, dedicating countless hours volunteering to help make Webster a great community. Through these roles, her kindness, strength, and unwavering support left a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Brenda was a beach bum at heart. Long Sands Beach in York, Maine, was her favorite place. She loved hunting for sand dollars and enjoying the sun with her girls and friends. When not at the beach, she tended her flower beds, added new plants-usually peonies-took her Jeep for an off-road adventure, and enjoyed fires at the "bum-drum" with loved ones.

Known as the heart and soul of her family, Brenda brought people together and made everyone feel welcome. She often said, "I always cook extra (at dinner) because you never know who's gonna show up."

She is survived by her daughters, Aime Silver (Steve) and Ashley Coulombe (Matt); siblings Glen Blanchette (Marj), Elaine Lary, Darlene Cummings (Rick), and Harold Blanchette (Kris); and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Brenda was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Leslie Silver; her parents, Harry Blanchette and Pauline Kienia; her grandparents, Harry and Mabel Blanchette, Phillip and Evelyn Blanchette; and her parents-in-law, Stanley and Doris Silver.

Graveside services will be held on June 5th, 2026, at the Courser Hill Cemetery in Webster, NH, with a celebration of life to follow at her home, 713 Battle Street, Webster. Brenda's memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and the community she touched so deeply.

She never failed to say hello. She never forgot to wave as she saw us on the road. A great smile with a joyous laugh. In our little town , full of stars, she did shine very bright for our family. To Amie and Ashley and Brenda's big family- our hearts ache with yours.

Sending our sincere condolences to Aime and Ashley and their family. Brenda was a force to be reckoned with, but always with a smile and a laugh. We knew her at the Mellen Company as she kept things in order with Faith and as a friend as we got married and started a family. We were fortunate to have known her and to enjoy the wisdom and happiness she gave all. May your good memories sustain you in this time of sadness. Shine on...

The passing of my friend deeply saddens me. Only recently have we come to know each other and bonded over our shared love of gardening and food.

"Every happening, great or small is a parable by which God speaks to us, and the art of life is to get the message." (Malcolm Muggeridge)

My friend Brenda understood the message!
