Wonderful obituary and remembrances. I never met Mr. Eldred but if his son is any indication of Carl Eldred´s spirit, then I honor both of their lives...

I'm saddened to hear of Carl's passing. I'm sure he'll be missed by All who knew him. I considered him as: "The Boy Next Door" as that was the image he projected. Rest peacefully my friend. Sorry to see you go. R.I.P. Carl Eldred.

We were all unprepared for your passing as we didn´t expect this so soon.
You will be remembered by all of us for a very long time.
I will miss the long talks we had.
I can just hear you describing your new surroundings as "Awesome!" (One of your favorite words).
I´m certain that heaven is a lot livelier since your arrival.
Rest in peace, Carl

Carl's brother
January 29, 2026
Without Carl, our family farm would have ceased to exist in the mid-late 60's, when our father suffered 2 back to back strokes. He did all the milking, and other farm related chores, in addition to trying to raise a family. Plus helping get the hay in after working his regular job through the years. He was always there to give me a helping hand if I needed it and was instrumental in getting me my first job, working with him at the pallet shop. We grew apart some, and I'd be somewhere, and someone would ask my name, and once I said I was Carl's brother, they'd tell me a story about him, though I think some of them were embellished, a lot weren't. It means a lot to me that his family will continue in Goshen, 70+ years later.
