Paul D. Morency

Epsom, NH - Paul David Morency, 76, of Epsom, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at his home with his loving wife, Dale, by his side after a brief illness.

Born on June 4, 1949, in Concord, NH, he was the son of the late Paul A. and Marguerite M. (Ayotte) Morency.

Paul was raised and educated in Laconia, NH. He received his Associate Degree in Mechanical Drafting and went on to be employed at Cambion in Pittsfield, Freudenberg NOK, and at Home Depot for the last 20 years. Paul was a loving father and husband who will be greatly missed.

Paul was a proud United States Navy Veteran having served from 1969 to 1973 aboard the USS WASP and the USS Belknap during the Vietnam War as a 3rd Class Machinist's Mate.

He was a devout parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Northwood and served as a member of the Knights of Columbus since 1998, including a few years as Grand Knight. He taught religious education and served as a youth group coordinator. His strong baritone voice was heard for decades as he was a longtime member of the parish choir. He portrayed Saint Nicholas for many years during parish Christmas events as well as visiting local nursing homes to sing carols.

For decades, Paul was the Master of Ceremony at Epsom Old Home Days and in 2023, he was chosen as Epsom's Citizen of the Year. During the 1990's, Paul coached youth soccer and assisted with EYAA events. Paul was a longtime performer in the Odd Fellow's Variety Shows and was the MC of the one and only Epsom 100 Hour Infothon.

In addition to his parents, Paul was predeceased by his daughter, Carmen Irwin Hale.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Dale H. Morency; son, Ethan D. Morency and his fiancée Cassandra Isabelle of Chichester, NH; sons-in-law, Brian Hale of Saucier, MS and Ryan Irwin and his wife, ShuLin of Camano Island, WA; granddaughter, Sophia Irwin; brother, John Morency and his wife, Jane of Chelmsford, MA; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at the Roan Family Funeral Home – Still Oaks Chapel, 1217 Suncook Valley Highway, Epsom. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday February 7, 2026, at 10:00am at St. Joseph Church, 844 First NH Turnpike, Northwood, NH. Interment with Military Honors will be scheduled in the spring at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
