Yesterday

"Flip".......A natural born Musician/Outstanding Gentleman. Leroy enrolled in band at Roosevelt and said he wanted to play the flute. I was amazed at his ability to grasp the fundamentals of playing the flute so quickly. Within a few days, he was playing like a pro. He became an important participant in our Jazz and Marching Bands. We remained friends over the years and he would call and ask how i was doing. You will be sorely missed by your friends and all of us in the Dayton Music community. Rest in peace Leroy. Looking forward to hearing the musical arrangements you did for the angels.

What a surprise! Leroy and I worked together at Fairview Middle School. He was the Band teacher, and I was the chorus teacher. We put together several music programs. I always enjoyed working with him.

I met "Flip" in my Freshman year at K.S.U.. We shared a love of music and later pledged ourselves to the Goals and Objectives of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., in the Fall of `73. "Flip" has always been an outstanding Individual, Brother and Friend.
Rest in the Brightness of God´s Kingdom my Good Brother. Until we meet again upon the Golden Shore.

I have so many happy memories of Flip. I met him at Wayman when we were in Jr. High. We sang in the Youth Choir together and after High School, we both attended Kentucky State. We'd hang out when we came home on the weekends. We had so much fun. Oh, the stories I could tell. These are memories I will hold close to my heart forever. I will miss my friend. Rest well Flip until meet again.

Mr. Hall was a wonderful man. He was my elementary/middle school music teacher, he was one of my Dad´s (Joseph Taylor) closest friends, he played the flute for my wedding to my husband (DrKevin J. Taylor) and was my son´s (Benjamin Taylor) God Father. He was so kind and gentle. Rest easy sir. I will miss you.
