Waltraud E. "Traudie" Milleck, 100, passed away on Sunday afternoon, February 1, 2026. She was born in Poland on March 25, 1925. Traudie will be remembered for the simple joys of life that filled her days. She found peace in nature, especially during her walks through Snyder Park, where she would often be lingering by the water feeding the ducks. These quiet moments reflected her appreciation for nature and being outdoors. Traudie was also a staunch Republican, deeply committed to her beliefs and unafraid to stand by them, a trait that spoke to her strength, loyalty, and sense of principle. She was a longtime member of Christ Episcopal Church in Springfield where she enjoyed expressed her faith in service and had many friendships. Traudie is survived by her son, Stephen Milleck; granddaughter Justine Ennen; and sister Ruth Rumbolt. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Robert Milleck (2008). Traudie's service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 17, at Littleton & Rue Funeral Home. A burial at Ferncliff Cemetery will follow the service. www.littletonandrue.com
