Plainfield, NH - A much-loved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle, Robert "Bob" Gerald Sullivan, 84, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, with family present.

Bob is survived by his son Brady Michael and granddaughter Reilly; daughter Meghan Elizabeth, her husband Patrick, and grandson Teddy; son Ryan James and his wife Melissa; brother Richard and his wife Kathy; and nephews and nieces Richard, Kimberly, and Corinne. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Maryellen Kelly Sullivan.

Bob was born in Norwich, CT on September 4, 1941, to Gerald and Regina Sullivan. He graduated from the Norwich Free Academy and went on to graduate from St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas. On April 4, 1964, he married the love of his life, Maryellen. Together they proceeded as a 20-year military family to stations at Fort Sam Houston, TX, Fort Lee, VA, Fort Hood, TX, Fort Eustis, VA, and Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC. Bob retired as a Major in the United States Army and went on to work for many years of service in the blood bank at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH.

Bob was a hardworking, generous family man, neighbor, and friend who was always willing to lend a helping hand. He loved music and his Martin guitar and especially enjoyed harmonizing to songs from musicians such as John Denver and Crosby, Stills, and Nash. He was an avid gardener and looked forward every year to silver queen corn. One of Bob's favorite acts of kindness was to plow out neighbors after snowfalls. He was never one to look for recognition or reward; he genuinely enjoyed using his talents and resources to help other people.

Bob and Maryellen will be laid to rest together at an 11AM Graveside Service on Friday, June 26, 2026, in the Westgate-Peterson Cemetery in Plainfield, NH.
