Earlier today
John was a great guy. I met John while working for a municipality. He was my main T&B contact. He was not only a great engineer, but most importantly a great person. Rest in peace John.

We miss you already, Bucko. One of the most brilliant people I know. He loved pouring concrete and submarine movies. We made him a periscope for his office and Matty painted an island diorama scene for it. His pickup truck was `two tons of Detroit-American steel, yessir." It was the driest canny humor and I´m still chuckling 40 years later.

One in a million guy. Quiet, smart, funny and generous. Back at n the day when he had his van he helped me move from one apartment to another in Cambridge. When I asked him how I could repay him his answer was simple. "A box of suds." Done deal. It was promptly delivered by me to his apartment on Washington Street. John liked to keep things simple. So sad to learn of his passing but so grateful he was my friend.

Dear Elizabeth and Julia - I'm so sorry that you have lost your dad way too soon. I've known him since we were teenagers on Avon Hill Street, along with a large gang of other neighborhood kids who are remembering him with much love. We were last all together on New Year's Eve 2023. Back in the day, he introduced many of us to rock climbing, hiking in the white mountains, and jazz. He was very funny and very kind. We are missing him.

Dear Elizabeth and Julia, I'm sad to see that your father passed away. I remember him to be such a nice man and such a loving dad. I took care of you both at my home daycare years ago on Depot Road not too far from his house. Sincerely, Sally Winings

John, can't believe your time came so soon, and I will miss you. I had a lot of fun learning to run hydraulic water system models with you and was a proud original member of our "Mod Squad." I always loved hearing about your improvement projects up at your camp. You loved talking about your daughters as well. Sending condolences to the family during this time.
