To the family of Christopher

I just read a blog today by Tiffany a Marine Mom. She had photographs from Christopher's service.

Back in April when I signed his book, I did not then have permission to leave these words,
but now I do and wanted to share them with you.......

The Other Side

i'm over on the other side
where life and death softly divide.
left my skin and bones behind
now i'm over on the other side.

can you feel me there with you?
my breath is gone but i'm not through.
loved you then and i still do
from over on the other side.

i can fly. really fly.
below the earth ... all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.

it's good here on the other side.
the sweetest songs...the bluest skies.
thank you for the tears you cried
but it's good here on the other side.

i can fly. really fly. below the earth...all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side

the world is smaller than a needle's eye.
where life and death softly divide.
when you leave your skin and bones behind
i'll be waiting on the other side.

i can fly. really fly. below the earth ... all through the sky.
go tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.

To the family and friends of Christopher.
Holding you all in my thoughts and prayers today.

The Wind on The Downs

“I like to think of you as brown and tall,
As strong and living as you used to be,
In khaki tunic, Sam Brown belt and all,
And standing there and laughing down at me.
Because they tell me, dear, that you are dead,
Because I can no longer see your face,
You have not died, it is not true, instead
You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe;
I hear you laughing as you used to do,
Yet loving all the things I think of you;
And knowing you are happy, should I grieve?
You follow and are watchful where I go.”

(Written by Marian Allen during World War l )

Two lines that I wish you to keep near your heart…….

“You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe”

I did not know Christopher, but he is my hero.
Please contact me and I will EMAIL you back

Thank you for your willingness to defend the United States of America and all that we hold sacred. Though tears can never bring you back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that you made and our sorrow at your passing. You are truly a hero and your sacrifice will never be forgotten. Your mission on earth is complete. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the heroes who have passed before.

In Remembrance of this Fine Young Marine, Pfc. Christopher R. Cobb, who gave his life for our Country and for Freedom.
A multitude of Thanks to Christopher and his family, for his Courage, Dedication and Service.

There will Never Be Enough Ways, to Humbly Thank these Heroes, for their Supreme Sacrifices, my 19 year old brother among them. Killed in action in Vietnam in 1967.

"For we know that if our earthly house,
this tent, is destroyed,
we have a building from God,
a house not made with hands,
eternal in the heavens."
2 Corinthians 5:1

May you find peace in knowing the love and memories you have, will remain in your heart forever and that this Country Remembers Christopher's sacrifice.
I am So Deeply Sorry for your loss.

As an active member of the U.S. Navy. I am constantly reminded of the dangers, the sacrifices, and hardships we all endure, but every single person that pays the ultimate sacrifice upon the altar of freedom that we as Americans enjoy every day, I am both saddened and supremely proud of their great love for country and humanity. To you that are survived my heart and unending gratititude go out to you, and although I never knew your son, I do know that he is a real HERO!

Sheila,

I attended school with your son in Valrico, Fl. The moment I saw Chris's picture my heart stopped. I will never forget the face of that couragous man, though I had only known him as a boy. My heart goes out to you and your family. My birthday is Jan. 4, 1985 and my husband and I just celebrate our sons first birthday last week. I hope my son grows to be much like that boy I met in elementary school. I hope my son becomes the man that Christopher was.

As the Mother of a former Marine, the loss of one of "our boys" is especially hard. The memory of your son will live on in the hearts and minds of the young men priviledged to serve with him. It will also live on in the minds of the Mothers who know the true realities and fears of war. God bless and keep you. You're always in our thoughts and prayers.

My deepest sympathy goes out to you

and your family. From reading about your son, he sounds like he was a wonderful your man and one that anyone would be proud to call their son. My mother lost a brother in World War 11 that was only 21 . I know it was so hard on

my grandmother and the whole family

as it must be for you. May God bless you and watch over you until

you see your son again someday in

Heaven. He will always be remembered as a hero.

To the Cobb Family, your son is a great man. Thank you for producing such a wonderful Man. May all the others in our life times grow up and become your son. He is truly our hero. There has been several occasions that my family and I have stopped and placed items on his stone of life, and thank God that people like him were placed on our earth to protect and serve. To Chris's mom, you have a double blessing. You were blessed with having him as a son, and sharing all the life experiances with him, and now you have an angel.
