I just read a blog today by Tiffany a Marine Mom. She had photographs from Christopher's service.
Back in April when I signed his book, I did not then have permission to leave these words,

As an active member of the U.S. Navy. I am constantly reminded of the dangers, the sacrifices, and hardships we all endure, but every single person that pays the ultimate sacrifice upon the altar of freedom that we as Americans enjoy every day, I am both saddened and supremely proud of their great love for country and humanity. To you that are survived my heart and unending gratititude go out to you, and although I never knew your son, I do know that he is a real HERO!

I attended school with your son in Valrico, Fl. The moment I saw Chris's picture my heart stopped. I will never forget the face of that couragous man, though I had only known him as a boy. My heart goes out to you and your family. My birthday is Jan. 4, 1985 and my husband and I just celebrate our sons first birthday last week. I hope my son grows to be much like that boy I met in elementary school. I hope my son becomes the man that Christopher was.

Though it's been well over a year since Chris's passing, he is still in my daily thoughts. I was so happy to finally meet you and am so appreciative for the photos you gave me. I mailed them to Bryan and he was very thankful. Chris is still very much on Bryan's mind. A letter about condolences is always a hard an ackward thing to write, I will tell you to have strength in your darkest hours and try to keep positive.
