Prayer Shawls 4 Fallen Soldiers ([email protected]) is an organization with groups throughout the country who strive to send handmade prayer shawls and/ or lap robes to families who have lost a loved one in service to our country. Members of Trindle Spring Lutheran Church in Mechanicsburg, PA would like to honor your son's sacrifice and memory by sending our prayers and comfort through a shawl which we will mail to you. I will not forget Martin, the first local 'boy' to die for our country in this war. I remember that Sept 11th, was an impetus for him to join up. On a day like today i attended his service in Hellam. two summers ago i came by accident to his grave, (near my grandparents') I cry every time i think of him- for his mother and our country.

Hi Martin, it has been years since your passing, don't think I have forgotten about you. I have had tough times, I thought never loosing a closer friend could be any harder than to experience all the emotions and all the things that go on in Iraq aftermath of a volatile death. It changed me so much more, and made the passing of a friend 10 times harder to deal with. Putting them on the Angel Flight Home and saying last prayers and paying last respects with final salutes, 21 gun salute and taps is harder; life is harder. Today has been exactly 4 years and 3 months, since you left us. You will always follow on in my memory and god bless everyone elses life you have touched, even Lynn Marie. Please continue to watch over me, I am almost home now, I Love you my fellow Fallen angel and Comrade, be with God, Amen.

My name is Maggie Selzer, and I am directing ‘Run for the Fallen 5K run/walk’ in Boalsburg, PA (just outside of State College) on August 24th, 2008. The event, held on the PA military Museum grounds, aims to keep alive the memory of all fallen soldiers, but particularly those from PA. All proceeds from the event will go to organizations that support the families of fallen soldiers and supports wounded soldiers.

There is nothing that I can say or do to take away the pain or bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer you and your family my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.
Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.
I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON (KIA on 07/06/07) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.

I read your heart-wrenching story this morning in the NY Times. Our son, also served in Baqubah, Iraq, FOB Gabe. I wish to God I had the power to somehow comfort you. I know that's impossible because the son is the soul of the father. I wrote this poem before my son left for Baqubah. For those of us whose sons are in the War, we are one father of one son.

Martin, it's been a long time. I still remember how much fun we all had at our wedding party. And I still remember how you talked about marrying Lynne. You spoke so highly of her. I wish you guys would have had a chance to share your lifes with each other. I still think about you and the times in Vilseck a lot, so does my husband, he really enjoyed beeing around you. I just recently lost my brother in law, Heathe Craig, and it just reminds me of how lucky I was to have met you and hang out with you a couple of times. To the Kondor family and Lynne, I hope that time does make thing a little easier and that in time we will learn to just enjoy the memories we have.

I am still saddened by the fact that Martin is gone. I have a lot of memories of him, and think of him often. Martin was a hilarious person, but had a kind heart too. We had a lot of fun in high school days! I hope family is doing okay since the death, I know it will always be a struggle. Prayers are with you!

I unfortunately did not have the honor of knowing Martin, my husband did serve in Iraq with him, and was with him when he received his angel wings! I have been told hours and hours of wonderful stories about Martin! I only wish I got to meet this wonderful man that I have heard so much about!
We honored Martin with a moment of silence and his picture present at our wedding! I was honored to be able to keep his memory alive on our special day!
I knew him as Kondor and he will forever be in my husband and I's heart and in our lives!

Martin and I were in class together in high school and threw javelin and shot in track & field. Just a great personality in that boy, very spirited and friendly. It's been over a year since I first learned about him passing, but I think about him often.

Oh where to begin...Martin was a wonderful guy. He alway knew how to make you smile, he knew how to make those bad days better and make things right when no one else could. He alway fought for what he beleive in, that's what made him the kinda person he was and the kinda person people will remember him by. He WILL be MISSED.. Martin is certainly irreplaceable! Growing closer with him over the past few years is not something i will soon forget or regret. I always looked forward to going to work with Martin, seeing him in school, and hanging out with him. I will cherish every picture, every letter sent from overseas, and every memory, forever. I pray for his parents and family, and Lynne-he always spoke so well of her and was so, so happy! you will be greatly missed, Martin! we love you!

Martin will be missed by many of people. Martin is a hero to us. I knew Martin for 8 years and those 8 years have been some of the greatest times of my life. Ill never forget all the memories we've shared together. Martin was a guy who would do anything for anyone. He always knew how to make me smile and to brighten my day. Martin was always there when I needed a friend to talk to and couldn't go to anyone else, he listened and he helped me through my problems. Ill never forget all the times when we worked at mikey d's together, our homecomings, prom, skipping school to go out to breakfast or lunch, the times at the movies, the car rides we took together, my 16th birthday party, and davids party, but most importantly ill never forget our senior year and all the memories we have together.
