There is nothing that I can say or do to take away the pain or bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer you and your family my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.

Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.

I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON, a dear family friend who joined the Army with three other friends, one of whom is my son (Le Ron was killed in action on 07/06/07 at the age of 18) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.

REST IN PEACE, HERO, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!!

My heart & prayers go out to the Solorio family. I just read about Sgt. Solorio in the Wall Street Journal.

To his parents: Thank you for giving the world such a wonderful man. It's a painful thing to lose a child - nothing like it in the world. It doesn't seem like our children should predecease us. I do know one thing, he is in Heaven and you will be reunited with him and he is your son for all eternity.

To his wife & children: I am so sorry. There are no other words to express the loss of a soulmate, father, friend.

May the Lord bless you, keep you & comfort you.

Know that there are people in this world whom you've never met, never heard of, praying for you.

To Juan's family: I was deeply saddened upon finding Juan's obituary it the newspaper. I worked with Juan at Westbrook's the year he graduated high school in fact he gave me a graduation picture of him in his cap and gown. I trained him in the model room. We worked nights back then and spent a lot of time talking while we worked. He was a wonderful person to work with and he had a great sense of humor. He was the best trainee that I ever had and that's the truth. My prayers are with you all.

Gabby, Julian, Max I am sorry to have only just heard of your loss. I loved Juan even more than my own family. He was my brother for a great many years, and that is how I will always remember him.

Gabby, you were the perfect wife and best friend I could ever have hoped to meet. Julian, I so enjoyed watching you grow up on our many trips out and time spent together. Max, I wish that I could have known you better over the years. I miss you all very much - Karen and I were hoping to see you all later this year.

Fabi and Longi, your family took us in and looked after us, and you treated me as family every time we met. Because of the love and kindness that you showed my wife and I, I know Juan couldn't be happier than having you as brothers. Please pass on my best wishes to your parents.

Juan will be missed and not forgotten by me, or by many others as well.

If there is anything you need or I can do please call on me.

With much love, Chris and Karen Salay

It was a privlege to serve, smile, laugh and cry in my beer with Juan... the "Spotted Owl". Though the words are too risque for these pages, he led the boys in boisterous singing of the MULDOON song before many a Jump or Live Fire. His loss affects SO many people that he knew and the soldiers that knew him or even just simply "knew of him". His infectious humor was a force that caused everybody around him to smile and enjoy life... made it sweeter. Many of my fondest memories are of Solo, Shurko and I sharing a pint at the Wild Goose or the Camel Club in the Sinai. Nobody could ask for a better friend or comrade... Jumpmaster!!

I can't believe that it was 15 yrs ago when I met Juan, while working at our first job together at Traders Village. Thinking back on those times brings a smile to my face. He was always cutting up and making me laugh! He was that kind of person. Thats how I will always remember him, those were great memories for me. I had lost contact with Juan but when I heard the news it shocked and saddened me, like I had lost my best friend.

I also knew Gerald, his brother, we worked together as well. Gerald, Im thinking of you and praying for you and your family and hope that God gives you the strength to cope with your loss. I feel so blessed to have met such a wonderful person and I will miss Juan very much. Thank you Juan for giving so much of yourself and protecting our country.

May god bless you all.

SALMO 23

El SEÑOR es mi pastor, nada me falta;

en verdes pastos el me hace reposar.

A las aguas de descanso me conduce,

y reconforta mi alma.

Por el camino del bueno me dirige,

por amor de su nombre.

Aunque pase por quebradas oscuras,

no temo ningun mal,

porque tu estas conmigo

con tu vara y tu baston,

y al verlas voy sin miedo.

La mesa has preparado para mi

frente a mis adversarios,

con aceites perfumas me cabeza

y rellenas mi copa.

Iran conmigo la dicha y tu favor

mientras dure mi vida,

Our family is deeply sorry for our fallen American Hero, Sgt. Juan M. Solorio. I knew Juan through our families. His father, Gerardo and mother, Alicia were always super friendly people & just genuinely nice. They raised three great boys, all of which became admirable adults. I remember hearing stories from my sister, Lily, who attended Health Magnet School with their son, Juan, on how funny he was and how he was always smiling and making everyone laugh. My brother, Javier, skateboarded with him & other friends up and down the Western Park area and the Keenland Parkway area and for all we know who knows where else they skateboarded off to without our parents knowledge. They were good kids just having fun and Juan will be dearly missed by all who remember him. I am proud to know that he grew up to be an outstanding man, husband, father, brother, son and friend. He is truly an American Hero and his life story epitimizes all that is great about this great country of ours. To his wife, children, brothers & parents, I would just like to say one last thing, Juan's soul has touched us all and God give you strength for the sad times to come and know you are never alone, Juan lives on in your hearts, memories & and his two beautiful boys. God Bless!

I feel blessed to have known a special person in my life like Juan Solorio and I know he will always live and be remembered in our hearts. We originally met through the friendship of our parents, but when I think of Juan I remember riding the school bus during high school; we sat at the rear of the bus and we were always laughing. He was always smiling and joking around with everyone. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Solorio family. There will come a day when the tears of sorrow will softly flow into tears of remembrance... and your heart will begin to heal itself... and grieving will be interrupted by episodes of joy. God bless you.

We send our deepest condolences to the Solorio Family. May God give you the strength to continue and Juan's legacy will always be remembered by everybody, even those who saw him from a distance. Many memories are being left behind, but the most important memory that will live forever is the Friendship that was shared with Juan on an individual basis. Our love and prayers will always be there for you. May God Bless you.

To Fabian and the Solorio Family

I know it broke your hearts the day God called Juan home

A part of you went with Juan, he didn’t go alone

Many times you will long for Juan, Many times you will cry

But if LOVE could have saved Juan he never would have died.

Fabian I want you and your Family to remember that God Blessed

you all with MEMORIES that no one can take away. You all are

in my prayers. May God Bless you through this time and always.

It has been many years since last I spoke with Juan, yet details of his character and personality are as clear to me now as they were back in high school. Juan was a loving and caring man, with a great sense of adventure. The Army has lost a great soldier, America has lost a relentless protector, his comrades have lost a dear friend, and, most of all his family has lost their hero. We all cherish his memory, and thank him for serving his country honorably.

Juan is a second cousin of mine and I can remember the day he was born. I am older than him so he always treated me more like his Aunt which I will always cherish. Growing up he and his brothers were very close and taught to treat everyone with kindness and love. So there was never a time that we didn't hug & kiss at get togethers. He has been gone a long time in the service so I have not seen him in 10 years but I knew he was doing what he wanted and enjoying his career and his lovely family. Until we meet in heaven, we love you Juan.

Love and God Bless, Aunt Angela

I did not ever meet Juan, but I have been working with his brother Fabian for over two years. Fabian spoke a lot about his brother and I know that he was and still is very proud of his brother Juan. Being a veteran myself, I truly understand the pain the family is in right now. I will continue to remember the entire Solorio Family in my prayers as they deal with the lost of one of their beloved family members. God Bless!
