I still think about Kenneth often. We were rack mates in boot camp and infantry school, he was a really good guy. I still remember when I was in Baghdad and someone told me they got hit and Butler didn't make it, it was a hard pill for me to swallow. It's been 20 years since we met now but I still consider him a missing brother. Thanks for the time we had together brother.

Mays...Today being the 5th anniversary of your trip to heaven I am thinking alot about you and the wonderful guy that you were, wondering how your life would be now. Wondering if you would be married with children of your own? Just thinking about you makes me so sad but I know that you are watching over us just as you did when you were fighting for our country. I had no idea that this guest book was here for Jay. I met Jay when I was in middle school when I first went to Circle M. I remember he had long hair and I thought he was so cool because of it lol.
Even though we lost touch, right before he left, we got in contact with each other. Even when he was overseas I can remember getting a phone call while I was at Bojangles, from a very strange phone number. I answered and it was Jay, calling me from a satellite phone :)
Now everytime my daughter sees pictures of him, I tell her all about our memories and how great of a person he was and still is.
Jay will never be forgotten! We love him and miss him so much.

I have been thinking a lot about you lately and just wanted you to know that you are still so fresh in our hearts and we miss you terribly. Your memory and scarifice will never be forgotten. I know you would have been a great uncle and I wish you were still here with us. Even though she never got to meet you, at least I know that Jazzy has 2 of the best guardian angels a girl can ask for (you and her uncle T)who were taken way too soon. Hi Baby Boy. We went to visit your grave yesterday and also to a memorial for you. It made me hunt so bad inside. The kids looked so good yesterday. (Jazzy and River) One day Jazzy will understand and River kind of does now. I wish that we could have moverd closer to us. You and Timmy could be closer or side by side. I hope you and Timmy are speding lots of time together. He is there being your big brother since we have your bug brother her with us for now. (He is really being a good dad, You and Timmy would be so pround of him) Well tomorrow is Timmy's birthday. I hope you two thow a big party and watch out for all the girls in heaven!! We do love both of you and again your daddy and Ineed to know things are alright with you both. As for here we will get by even with all the things people do wrong. Hi Mays,
I wanted to let you know that your Aunt Shirlee and I, your Mom and Dad and the boys attended a memorial service for you and all of your fellow fallen angels last Friday. We felt as if you were right there with us. It was very emotional and very awe inspiring. We met your Lt. and the driver of the humvee you were on. They thought the world of you as everyone you have ever met does. They are some wonderful people and I felt like they wanted to help us feel some closure with all the information that they shared with us. I really never knew how much of a bond there was with the Marines but I know now.
We had a wonderful time and will always remember it.

Our heartfelt sympathy on the loss of Kenneth. We too lost our son, LcPL Steven Szwydek on 10/20/05. His body now rests at Arlington, but his spirit is safe in heaven with other fallen heros. Thank you Crystal for your words on Steven's Guest Book site. It is so comforting to know that others share in our sorrow and pride. May you too find comfort in knowing that we care and are praying for you.

even though it may not seem fair to some people i think and believe the reason Cowboy (Kenneth) went home to be with the Lord was so he could watch over our boys.. there is a certain group of guys.. some of his closet friends over there right now and i know his is watching over them...that was his purpose/reason

To Kenneth's family and friends-
My family and I are praying for you and your family during this difficult time. We send our deepest empathy as we lost our Marine on 11/30/05 in Fallujah. We are comforted to know that our Marines are serving their country with such honor and bravery. We are so proud of our Marines and all of our other service men and women for all that they have done and continue to do to keep us safe and to give us the freedom we have that so many take for granted.
They are true Heroes and need to always be remembered for their selflessness and sacrifice to better our world. We will forever be united in the loss of our heros. We are so sorry for your loss and hope our words will ease some of the pain, and maybe fill some of your emptiness.

James was one of the nicest people ever. I remember all of the fun times we had together when we were little. I will never forget him. I miss him more than I ever realized I would. They say it takes a special person to become a Marine. Well they surely found that to be true when James enlisted. His desire to become a Marine when his life could have led him anywhere was a true show of love and care for his country. His love of family, friends and life was evident in all that he did. He was a very brave young man who was taken away from us way too soon. God must have needed him for a very special "detail". He will ALWAYS be missed, loved and NEVER, EVER forgotten. I wish we could all live in peace for only in peace will all things live.

Dear Uncle Buster, Aunt Tammy,Carl, Nina and other family members;
Kenneth is not only my cousin but my role model. One day I hope to grow up to be a man like him, one of honor,and respect. Kenneth and I got to talk alot at Carl and Nina's wedding and he was truely proud to be your son and a US Marine. I pray that God will give you peace and knownledge that Kenneth love you!
He told me to always reach for my dreams and follow my heart. His heart lead him back to you, Uncle Buster and cousin Carl.
He will be missed by all his family that loved him. His legacy will live on in our hearts and history. For he was one of many that gave all that he was so we can live in peace and freedom.
