I had the pleasure of spending some time with Tina at Fort Hood and we also deployed to Camp Taji together. Although we only spent a few weeks together prior to deploying I will never forget her. She was always laughing and smiling. When we deployed she lived in the POD next to mine. I was working so hard that I didn't get the chance visit with her. I would she her in passing at the defac or going to the laundry. If I could turn back time I would have fought tooth and nail to just have dinner or just spend some time with her. At times I feel so bad that I'm here and she and so many others didn't come back. That deployment was the hardest thing I have ever done in my life but I would do it all over again if it would bring Tina back. There's not a day that goes by that I think about you Tina, your are a huge part of my life now and you will stay forever in my heart.

Dear Tee Ree.... I thought about you today, just like everyday. Mostly because Mahri was home this week for spring break, and you would not believe how she favors you. She is kind hearted, loving and caring just like you! and OMG she looks so much like you. Instead of cousins ya'll could pass for sisters.... A recent picture of her that I sent to your momma and Dani, even had them doing a double take. Dani says Mahris' hands give it away.lol Maeson misses you terribly! She is 15 now, and misses you very much.... She cant wait to be 18 so she can get her "Tina tattoo"! Mellinie made me a grandma last year, she named her baby girl Lainee Marie, after you. I know you are watching over us all, and loving standing gaurd over your newest niece Kayde. I love Tee....

Happy Birthday My Sweet Tina,
23 years ago today, you screamed your way into this world, weighting all of 1 pound 10 ounces. Such a little fighter--never giving up!. You will always be my little miracle baby, my mischevious little go-getter, my little runner, and my little dish do-er!! You will always be my little tried and true Soldier!! I miss you with every fiber that is my being, sweet Tina, and thoughts of you are with my every day, every minute, always. I know that you have spent this birthday in Heaven doing something fun...maybe going to the coast, or just driving the blue pickup truck around country back roads. Or, knowing you, you may have spent the entire day on the phone!!
Life on Earth has been a lot less BRIGHT since you left me Tina, but I believe you are okay now. Until we see each other again, you will always be in my heart and I will always be your #1 Fan!!
HAPPY 23RD BIRTHDAY!!
Love you Big Bunches,

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

My dearest sweet Tina,
So much has happened in this past year, both good and bad. The death of a child is an experience that I would not wish on my worst enemy and the pain I feel when I think of you is sometimes excrutiating, but each new day gets a little more bearable. I have met so many people that are feeling the same despair I feel but I am thankful that each day brings new remedies to the pain, so that I can endure life without you until its my turn to join you.
Tina baby, EVERY memory I have of you is implanted in my soul, and not one day goes by that I do not think of you. I miss your goofiness and playfulness, your singing, and your light hearted attitude. I miss seeing you all dressed up and beautiful, giddy about a date, or even just hanging out with friends at the house. I even miss seeing you with the telephone attached to your ear at 2 am on a school night! (hee hee)
Most of all I thank God for allowing me to have you as a daugher for 20 years. You will never grow old to me. I am thankful to you for coming to me in dreams and showing me that you are okay and happy in Heaven. I feel your presence with me so much sweetie, especially when I'm driving Tina Bug! When I picture your life in Heaven and understand that you are now "truly" happy and safe I can almost validate that you are in the best place possible. But still, sometimes, my jealous and selfish human self feels slighted because you died so tragically. But with God's help, all the family's help, and new friends, I can make it.
Everyone misses you so much Tina, and it is my solemn vow that your memory is shared only in good and positive ways. I am proud to say you are my daughter. You are only dead in body--your spirit lives on in my heart and will never pass away.
Tomorrow you will have been gone one year and I know you will find ways to help me get through the day. You are a precious gift and a guardian angel. My love for you is immeasurable!!

I served with Tina in Iraq...words can not explain how hard it was after her passing. We lost 56 soldiers that year in our Brigade but hers was the hardest. It's kind of hard to believe that almost a year has past and I'm just hearing about your loss. My sister and I were talking online and she sent me the link. I am in complete and utter shock. I don't know what to think. All I know is that this could have been me and at one point can still be me. I've been in the AF for over 7 1/2 years and spent some time in Baghdad, Iraq. I saw in another entry how proud Danny was of her sister and I think of how proud my family is of me, especially my dad. I remember going to visit you guys and playing together when we were younger. The last time I saw you guys was probably about 5-6 years ago. I didn't even know she joined the military. I am truly sorry for your loss and will keep you in my prayers. God bless you all!

Not a day goes by that I dont think about Tina at least once.. Almost everything can bring up a memory or two of her. We were best friends growing up, from about 3rd grade on. I almost dont even want to think about it because it hurts so much. I've lost quite a few people in my life and Tina is right up there as one of the most important. It seems as though we lose the ones who mean the most to us and who inspired us the most. Tina definately was one of those. She was a good good friend, she was never one to turn her back on a friend in need, and she always had her family and friends in mind with every decision she made. Thats why I know I shouldn't be sad, i can't help it, but I know that she was doing what she needed to do for herself and in turn was also making everyone who knew her extrememly proud. I like to think that I knew Tina pretty well and I know, along with the others that do also, that her memorial service was something that would have made her so happy. To know that all those people, some that knew and loved her, and some that had never even met her came out to honor her. She would have been truly amazed. I will NEVER forget her, and I am proud to have known her and the love, and the bravery and the legacy that she left behind will stay with me forever.

Tim, Joy, Tiffany and Danielle, I was shocked to hear the news of Tina. Even after a few hours I still cannot come up with the appropriate words to say. I can remember watching the girls running around and chasing after Michael when they were all so small, and now, those times have passed but the memories we all shared will last forever. As I write this a tear runs down my cheek for the loss of a sweet little girl that gave the most precious price for our freedom. Tina is a true hero in my eyes and heart and will never be forgotten. Tim, if you ever need anything let me know and I will be there for you.

Psalm 23
1
The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
2
He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,
3
He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
5
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
6
Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
This is a verse that I have found to be comforting to me during my husbands death. Remember that when it seems that no one else is round, God is still there with you! And he will be your rock! And that we now know our "Guardian Angel" personally!
My daughter,McKaLyne, and I send our heartfelt sympathy for your loss! God Bless this warrior, God Bless those whom serve freedom's cause! They are our true HERO's!!!!

To the Priest family and friends,
It was my honor to join the Patriot Guard Riders in paying tribute and remembrance to PFC Tina Priest.
Her great sacrifice shall never be forgotten, and you will forever have my family's gratitude.
While Tina's life was tragically cut short, her place in history is sealed and immortalized by her selfless act of being a volunteer and patriot to defend our great nation and those of us who dwell in it. No soldier goes to a combat zone without the realization that fate may call unannounced. This takes great courage and fortitude, and PFC Priest embodied those virtues when she signed up to serve. She accomplished and experienced more in her 20 years than most in America will ever know. May God comfort you and richly bless you.

It is terrible that another generation of young Americians have to give up their lives to protect the world. I have no doubt that Tina is with God and is always there to protect and guide her family and friends.
An Irish blessings says, Ar dheis De go raibh a hanam dilis ( May her faithful soul be at Gods right
hand)
May God protect all Americian troops and bring them home safe.

To the Family of Pfc. Tina M. Priest:
My heart breaks again as I sign yet another guest book of another courgeous young man who gave their life so selflessly. We lost our son 12/1/05.
I know first hand there are no words right now that will bring you the comfort and peace you need. Just know that you are not alone. My heart, thoughts, and prayers are with you all as you mourn this loss. We don't know each other, will probably never meet, but will forever be united in the loss of our Heroes. We have, unfortunately joined a group, an ever-growing group of families in this situation. May God grant you peace and strength to get through this and be able once again to smile at a memory rather than have only the tears that flow so easily now. To be so proud of your loved one and so saddened at the same time is a mix of emotions very difficult to deal with. They will never be forgotten, never able to be replaced, but sometime, someday your memories will sustain you. This courageous soldier will forever now be your Angel watching over you all for the rest of your lives. It's what brings me peace and comfort and I hope it will you as well. If you ever want to talk, I'm only an e:mail away. God Bless this courageous soldier and family.

To the family of Pfc. Tina M. Priest
I am deeply saddened to sign yet another guest book. We grieve with you in the loss of your precious daughter Tina. I know exactly how you are feeling and what you must be going through. We too lost our son (SFC Brent A. Adams) in Ramadi, Iraq on December 1, 2005.
As a mother/parent I know there is nothing I can say that will ease your pain and sorrow over the terrible loss of your son. I know your hearts are broken and there is now a void that will never be filled. While the pain will probably never leave, I pray the Lord gives you comfort and peace of mind to help you cope over time. This is an extremely difficult time, but hold on to those good memories of your daughter….the ones that make you laugh and remember with joy the moments that you shared. The laughter between all those tears is one of the ways that will help you work through your grief. Tina is a hero (a woman admired for her achievements and noble qualities) and even though we were not fortunate enough to know her we pray for your family and for all those serving our country. Our children have made the ultimate sacrifice and they will always be honored and never forgotten. Unfortunately these tragic events have bound all of us together and changed our lives forever. God bless you all!
