Hi Jeremy: Another year has gone by, and all your friends still remember and miss you. I'm a few days late but I hope you will forgive me. See, I lost my youngest son Mark, on Jan. 16, two days after his 56 birthday, and 4 days before my wife Lydia and I had our 65 wedding anniversary.
Can't believe its been 10 years now since you left us all behind. So hope when all of us leave this earth, you'll be the first to greet us. Love and GOD BLESS YOU. Don Colpitts, Lynn, MA.

Jeremy, you have never been far from my thoughts. As one of your Massachusetts family, I always knew you were destined for greatness. I remember your passion for serving your country; how you wanted to be a fighter pilot. I treasure the memory of your humor and determination to make your future bright and honorable. I was not surprised to hear that you were active in ROTC and then enlisted. You were like that - honorble and a young man with integrity.

I will always remember your spirit and energy. I thank you for thef opportunity to know you and be your teacher.

Jeremy was a great addition to my squad, and I was sure he was destined to do amazing things... Little did I know that he would give me the most valuable gift of all, life. I was with Jeremy, and pulled him to safety after the incident, I tried my best to keep him safe. Now, he walks with me everyday. He forever made me a better man. "pro fratribus, pro patria."

JEREMY, Yesterday was six year anniversary since you were taken from us. Years later, here I am, in the Army, just got back from Iraq, and heading on my second deployment soon. I am sure it was alot different then when you were there, but let me tell you, we gave them hell, just in case you don't have a good view of it from heaven. Hope you are drinking a cold one, put in a good word for me when the day im put to rest comes. Rip.

Jeremy:
Here it is 6 years later and I still haven't forgoten you. The war with Iraq is over (they say) but who knows with the way this country is going. I sent an e-mail to our local newspaper in that small town, but it hasn't been printed. It was in tribute to this anniversary of your death. I was thinking of you yesterday morning as I sat in my dining room, looking at the plaque I have hanging on my wall, honoring you. Thinking back to the day before, your death. That if you had lived you might have a wife, and children, and living a good life. But it wasn't to be. But as long as I'm living (April 5th) I'll be 83 years old. But so long as I live, I'll always remember April 2nd. GOLD BLESS YOU JEREMY. Love from a brother.

So I was walking to work a night or two ago, and I saw some military men holding buckets to raise money for wounded soldiers. I donated and told them that it was because of you I was donating. They asked me to tell them about you, so I told them about your service and about half way through began to cry. The guy hugged me and it reminded me so of you. You are never forgotten. I love ya man, you make me be a better person. I remember that goofy smile and how it brightened the world. You make me try to be a better person. Missing ya still, missing ya always

I still haven't forgotten you, even tho 4 years have passed since you gave your life for the USA. There is no way I could forget, as my birthday is the 5th of April. I hope others won't forget you also. This is Veteran's Day, and you sure were a Veteran. I still have that plaque of you with your awards hanging on my dining room wall. To which I say "Hi Jeremy" every morning. Some day I still hope that plaque will be handing in the other dining room with our Veteran Brothers.

Four years ago, I didn't think we'd all make it to this point. Four years ago, I thought it was just some horrible coincidence, that they got the name wrong or that they were playing a cruel joke on us. Four years ago, I had never lost anyone that meant as much to me as you did. You were and always will be my brother and best friend. I drink to you sir, for your courage, for your loyalty and for your strength, all of which I aspire to possess. You will always be remembered and always missed and always loved. Forever your friend

Tomorrow is a day, a day I don't know how I'm going to get through. You were here and now you're gone. It was as if you were the wind, blowing through our lives, changing the way we see, think, know. And you left deep imprints in our hearts, ones that will never go away. I hated finding out the way I did, I cried because of a life cut short, a life not yet lived. We were kids... Everyone was. Looking back at the years gone by, it feels still so raw but with closure. I know i speak strangely but you understood me so well... I love you, you will always be in my heart.

See you on the other side

Sarah White

April 1, 2010

April 1st, the day you were injured if memory serves... tomorrow is the day we wished was just a late April fools joke... I remember riding to high school and hearing the radio say that a young man from Tucker High had been killed in the war. They said your name and it echoed. I called friends hoping I was just going a little crazy and heard a similar name, but not you. Unfortunately my fears were confirmed... and that day my life, and all of our friends lives were forever changed. God I still cry when i think of you. You should be here... But life had other plans.

You remind me that each day is a gift, and nothing is promised in life. We have to enjoy what we have while we have it.

Miss you Buddy
Your Smile could light up the world!

You didn't think I would forget you this day, did you Jeremy? Three year since you gave your life for our country. I wouldn't forget but I wonder how many others wouldn't remember this sad day?
Ever since I placed your plaque on my dining room wall, each morning as I sit down to have my coffee, I look at your picture and the service awards, and say, "Good morning Jeremy. I only wish I could have done more to honor your memory." I can't forget you as you left us three days before my birthday. Yar, the old man will hit (80) on the 5th. But you are not very far from my heart. I wish I could have known you before you left Massachusetts, yet I may have met you then, never knowing what a great young man you were to become. GOD BLESS YOU JEREMY, and keep watching over your friends here on earth. Don

For those who LOVE Jeremy, I would like to share this with you. While in basic training, he got a bit down, until a friend sent him the following message. "When you graduate you will be so proud of what you have accomplished and proud to wear the uniform of the United States Army." She told him, "You earned that one eighth of one quarter of one inch of your American flag, my friend Jeremy."
Not only that, he earned the whole American Flag, by giving his life for his country.
I might have met him one time, but I'm not sure.
I have been doing some searching on his life, and I would like to send e-mails if you would like to share with me what you knew of this young man.
I know from all I have read, he shared his life with you. I could feel the love you expressed for him.
April 2nd is the 2nd anniversary of his death. How could I forget when my birthday is the 5th?
God Bless You Jeremy. DFC.

If this person can stand in battle to ensure my freedom, then I will stand in grief with his/her family to honor him/her. For every fallen HERO there is a bright star that shines in the evening sky to remind us of the cherished gift we were given – even if for too short a time.
My heart breaks again as I sign yet another guest book of another courageous young soldier who gave their life so selflessly. I wish I never found myself in a position to have to sign another guest book for the rest of my life, but I promised LE RON A. WILSON (a dear friend KIA 7/6/07, 18yrs old) that neither he nor any like him would be forgotten and so I will continue until the day there is no longer the need.

Yesterday in history class we talked about iraq, and the horrible cost this war is having. For once though, the cost wasn't refering to money. I sat in the front row, sobbing, and my teacher asked me if I lost someone. I told your story to the class, and pointed out how real the cost is.

I just wanted you to know that there are 36 more people who will never take that cost for granted.

I can't believe it's been a year. It's crazy, it really is...

In a few weeks a bunch of us will be up to see you. Love ya Bro, always have, always will.

Jeremy, it has been a long time since i thought about what has happened last year...and even though i didnt think about it...it doesnt mean i forgot...alot has happened since you went away...and its hard...its hard to still cope that you arent with us even to this day...i want to thankyou in a sense, because u changed my opinion about going into the military to a definate commitment to it...and made me want to join to hopefully one day be half the soldier u were... its hard to think that it had been a year since we saw ur face...and the impression it left, it has brought the war against iraq, terrorist, and almost the world to our doorstep, i want to thankyou in your sacrifice, you gave me the courage to decide to join the military...we may not always think about what happened one year ago from today, but it does not mean that we forgot... you will never be forgotten...you are the one who brought the war home to all of us, and touched the hearts of everyone...We love and miss you

May we all find peace because you were fighting to keep us safe. You are now a Soldier Of God. Guide us and watch over us. Rest in Peace Our Soldier.

Dear family and friends of Jeremy,

I was scrolling thru the list of brave heroes who gave everything for us in Iraq when I saw the Ehle name. We also lost a loved one in Iraq and share your pain and sorrow. Jeremys sacrifice and yours will never be forgotten.

God Bless
