Saw a post on LinkedIn for Riley and something compelled me to look him up. I see he's from Eureka and I now remember seeing his sign on 44 as I live in Richmond Heights. I am sure he was a great man and I would have been very lucky if I knew him. Semper Fi.

Hello,
We realize that we are very late to express our deepest condolences, but we wanted to let your family and friends know that we have made a small donation to the Semper Fi Fund to honor and remember Riley E. Baker US Marine Corporal. We recognize that this is a humble tribute, but we wanted you to know that it is heartfelt and made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals across the American youth hockey community and beyond. We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you safe and strong.

To Riley's family,
My son joined the Marines in October 2016, right out of high school. He is currently a part of the 2/4, based out of Camp P. Being a father of a United States Marine, I always notice the signs that the city of Pacific proudly displays on I-44. I didn't know Riley. But I think about him every time I See them. I have googled Riley's exploits and am so very impressed by his courage and unselfishness. The pain of losing a son is unfathomable. Your family and Riley will remain in my prayers. Forever. He will NEVER be forgotten.
Sincerely,

Jim Stiles

Thinking of you Riley. Your unit replaced the unit our adopted Marine was in. When he heard of your death it really effected him. Marines, brothers for life. Your death touched so many who did not know you. Your service to our country will never be forgotten. Your life will never be forgotten with your family and friends, and in the hearts of strangers. You made a difference in this world. You brought strangers together, bonded together then, now and forever. God Bless you Riley Baker and God Bless your family today and everyday.

I felt compelled to send a note, letting you know that even strangers pray for the families of our wonderful soldiers. My 15 year old daughter and I were stuck in traffic yesterday behind a Camry with a yellow star plate 'my son' and a memorial sticker for Riley. That prompted us to learn about Riley and we are so glad we got to know him through the internet and posts here. May God bless all of you as we begin another holiday season.

Hey Riley B!
(Best little boy in the world!)
I still think you are going to bound up the stairs and head straight for the refridgerator...or I will find your spit bottles everywhere. We really don't want to think you are gone. I miss you... and all the things that you and your Dad would do to aggravate me for fun. I would do anything to hear you laugh or see you smile again. Home sometimes seems so lonely without you.
All your boys take good care of us. It all would be perfect if you were just here.
XOXO (You are always in my heart!)

Hi Riley! We miss you so much!! The boys think and talk about you every day. You've made such an impact on them! All they want to do is live out your dream the way you would want it to be lived. You always made your boys feel like they were your best friend, and to this day each of them try to conduct their lives in a way that you would approve. We all miss you so much and wish that you were here with us every day. However, we know that you are in a better place, and are with us every moment. Love you bud and we think about you every day!

Missing YOU in Missouri,
O beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!
America! America! God shed His grace on thee,
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!
O beautiful for pilgrim feet,
Whose stern impassion'd stress
A thoroughfare for freedom beat
Across the wilderness!
America! America! God mend thine ev'ry flaw,
Confirm thy soul in self-control,
Thy liberty in law!
O beautiful for heroes proved In liberating strife,
Who more than self their country loved,
And mercy more than life!
America! America! May God thy gold refine
Till all success be nobleness,
And ev'ry gain divine!
O Beautiful for patriot dream
That sees beyond the years
Thine alabaster cities gleam,
Undimmed by human tears!
America! America! God shed His grace on thee,
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!
WE ALL MISS YOU SOOO MUCH!!!!!
Thank You For Being YOU!!!

I would like to thank you Riley for your service and sacrifice, I would like to thank the Melies, and Baker families for raising such an outstanding young man. I was blessed with meeting Riley when he was a very young man. I have a great friend that lived across the street from the Bakers, His name is Doc, When he was young we used to call him Cpl O'Riley after the T.V. show F-troop, lol It makes me smile just thinking about him and his sister Megan those kids always had a smile on there faces, And I was blessed though the years to get to see Riley from time to time. Just an outstanding young man. Humble and respectful, thoughtful a great guy, I pray that God bless our soldiers and all these families, that has blessed us with such BRAVE men and women.

Follow The Rainbow To Heaven.
=======================================

A Soldier had die out on the
battlefield;

Broken hearts are weeping For
Them,

But take comfort of knowing
that God had sent Them a
rainbow from heaven;

The Souls of the Soldiers
have gone to there home
in heaven,

Our Loved One's has follow
God's lovely rainbow in the
sky;

All the way to the end of the
sky.

That leads all the way to the
other end of the Lord's
house in heaven,

So just keep on praying and
trust that God will send us
that same rainbow in the sky;

Where Our Loved One's are
waiting For You and For Me at
the end of the rainbow in
heaven.

My Brother, You couldn't have known I climbed the Grim Reaper in Jan of '68 with the cast iron base of an M-60 at 3 am and joined you in brotherhood. You've had to link up with my boy, Leon, KIA 05-06-06, Al Anbar, 7th Engineer's. Your Mom and Leons Mom Sandy. have come to be friends and share in the special pain reserved for Gold Star Marine Moms. They hurt and I do too but they don't understand what it means to have actually made it to the top of that Reaper at 0300. Youre my Brother too and I won't forget you. Leon Beat you there but he alway's was one to run ahead and I know he was there for you. To grab your hand and pull you up, I just wish it was you guy's burying us old fart's. You know my heart and I've just as soon stood in for you. But it seem's that was not God's will so just know, we'll be down here and defend the women and kid's Till we can all meet up. The day after tomorrow we'll dedicate a chunk of High-way to Leon, but trust me I'll be thinking and raise a glass for him, you and all my Brothers. Pray for us, till we get there and know, I'LL talk to your mom, and let her know that you'e OK and will be watching over us
