ROBIN , AMY, My heart goes out to your family, i remember the time we were at Knights Action Park and JP had to try to use that pump to fill up the tire on my car. I just heard he went and fought for us and sacrificed himself for our freedom. I am proud to say i knew him. Susan L Gillespie

Holding you all in my thoughts and prayers.
The Wind on The Downs
“I like to think of you as brown and tall,
As strong and living as you used to be,
In khaki tunic, Sam Brown belt and all,
And standing there and laughing down at me.
Because they tell me, dear, that you are dead,
Because I can no longer see your face,
You have not died, it is not true, instead
You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe;
I hear you laughing as you used to do,
Yet loving all the things I think of you;
And knowing you are happy, should I grieve?
You follow and are watchful where I go.”
(Written by Marian Allen during World War l )
Two lines that I wish you to keep near your heart…….
“You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe”
I did not know James, but I am remembering
his service. He is my hero. !

The Other Side
i'm over on the other side
where life and death softly divide.
left my skin and bones behind
now i'm over on the other side.
can you feel me there with you?
my breath is gone but i'm not through.
loved you then and i still do
from over on the other side.
i can fly. really fly.
below the earth ... all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.
it's good here on the other side.
the sweetest songs...the bluest skies.
thank you for the tears you cried
but it's good here on the other side.
i can fly. really fly. below the earth...all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side
the world is smaller than a needle's eye.
where life and death softly divide.
when you leave your skin and bones behind
i'll be waiting on the other side.
i can fly. really fly. below the earth ... all through the sky.
go tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.

If this person can stand in battle to ensure my freedom, then I will stand in grief with his/her family to honor him/her. For every fallen HERO there is a bright star that shines in the evening sky to remind us of the cherished gift we were given – even if for too short a time.
My heart breaks again as I sign yet another guest book of another courageous young soldier who gave their life so selflessly. I wish I never found myself in a position to have to sign another guest book for the rest of my life, but I promised LE RON A. WILSON (a dear friend KIA 7/6/07, 18yrs old) that neither he nor any like him would be forgotten and so I will continue until the day there is no longer the need.

“Soldier”
Written to Honor the Service of Our Fallen Soldiers
Soldiers write history, we pay the price
Many miles distant, you live the life
Entered the Battle of our own free will
Out of Duty for Country, and we’d do it still
We hope and pray that all will find peace
In God, in the flag, in memories of valor
Gone now, our pride and courage you see
“An Army of One” our motto forever
Willing to risk all for love of our Brothers
We’re still Your Soldiers…and we showed the way
Our Lives too short, now pray for the others
Lived free died Heroes in lands far away
Deep within souls all cherished our Service
We’ll always have what some never know
Courage and Honor, our names forever
Lived life with purpose…just our time to go
We march in the Heavens with Honor and Glory
Missions accomplished we fought the Good Fight
Many years from now…we’ll tell the full story
Until that Day we will live in the Light
Our lives we laid down in a land far away
Still watching o’er you this night and by day
No need to talk…just know we are with you
There in your hearts and we hear what you pray
Yes we are your soldiers
Our lives we laid down
Still We guard o’er you
Still Duty bound
Entered the Battle of our own free will
Out of Duty for Country, and we’d do it still
We’ll always have what some never know
Lived life with purpose…it was our time to go

JP..you don't really know me but you know my sister, Shantae. She has no way of getting online from where she is but she asked me to write to you. She really misses you. When I told her about your passing she cried for hours. She lives in Texas now so she hadn't heard about it until like two months ago. Shantae used to talk for hours about how you, her, and Amanda used to chill. Well there's not much for me to say except for the fact that she and I both miss you dearly. Rest in Peace! Love ya!!

I met JP's Dad at a Patriot Guard mission for another fallen soldier last month. My son is a soldier, also in the 10th Mountain Division (as JP was). Sometimes you meet special people who move you, who you know you'll never forget... JP's Dad was one of those people. And JP will always be in my heart, as his Dad in few words expressed how special his son was, so that we all feel like we knew him. The glory is yours now JP, no more climbing necessary...
To the Whites, God bless you and keep you. Tears, hugs, and Love.

I spent some of the best times throughout highschool with JP. When my sister sent me word that he was gone, it just gave me this awful head rush. I had so much fun with him and didn't get the chance to see him when we were both home on christmas leave that last time. Now looking back i wish i could've made more time and spent just one day with him hanging out. And it tears me up inside that duty kept me from attending his services. I just wish i could've been there instead of here and could've done something to stop it, because i know things will never feel right again when i come home. But i know he died fighting the good fight, like we all want to do. So i hope with all my heart he's found peace.

I knew JP for only a short time. But the time I did know know him he was a sweet caring loving guy! I'm proud to say I was his friend. He knew the chances he was taking and still went and served his country. I went to a band show on Friday and a few of the bands had known JP and we had a moment of silence for him and his family and any other soldiers out there! They also had a song in his remembrance. Well I'm starting to cry so I'm going to go now! Love you JP. Rest In Peace

To the Family of Pfc. James White:
My heart breaks again as I sign yet another guest book of another courgeous young soldier who gave their life so selflessly. I wish I never found myself in a position to have to sign another guestbook for the rest of my life. We lost a son 12/1/05 and it seems like yesterday.
I know first hand there are no words right now that will bring you the comfort and peace you need. Just know that you are not alone. My heart, thoughts, and prayers are with you all as you mourn this loss. We don't know each other, will probably never meet, but will forever be united in the loss of our Heroes. We have, unfortunately joined a group none of us wanted to join, an ever-growing group of families in this situation. May God grant you peace and strength to get through this and be able once again to smile at a memory rather than have only the tears that flow so easily now. To be so proud of your loved one and so saddened at the same time is a mix of emotions very difficult to deal with. I am sorry that I never knew your soldier personally, but none of these courageous men and women will be forgotten. They will never be able to be replaced, but sometime, someday your loving memories will help to sustain you. This courageous soldier will forever now be your Angel watching over you all for the rest of your lives. It's what brings me some measure of peace and comfort and I hope it will you as well. To his family and friends in pain, I offer this comfort: When you find yourself in that dark sorrowful place, think not only of how you will miss him, but instead recall the years, days, hours and minutes gifted to you by his presence. The one thing that cannot be taken from you is those wonderful memories that now will mean more than ever. If you ever want to talk, I'm only an e:mail away and would love for you to tell me more about your Hero. God Bless this courageous soldier and family.

I am Deeply saddened by the loss of Pfc. James White. The price this young hero and his family have paid for this country and our freedom, WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.
May James rest safely in the Mighty arms of God and may God's Loving Comfort and Grace be with the White family.
I am the sister of such a young hero, also 19 years old, who made the Ultimate Sacrifice in Vietnam, many years ago.
I sincerely hope you can feel the thoughts of caring and support that surround you today and every day, as this Country mourns with you, for someone very precious to you, who is a Hero to all of us.
May the memories of your loved one live in your heart always.

J.P. was one of the funniest kids you could know. He always made us smile. When I heard what had happened I didnt even know what to think. At first I was just shocked, then I felt angry and confused, then the sadness hit me hard. It just didnt seem fair that this sweet, kind hearted kid could be taken from us so soon. Honestly, now I can say I feel more at peace because I know in my heart that J.P. died doing what he wanted to do in his life and that purpose was worth it to him to put his life on the line for a specific cause. That is more than I can say for a lot of people in the world today. I admire him and I dont think the world could ask for a better soldier than our dear friend. We Love You J.P. and You will be FOREVER missed!!!

Unfortunately, we did not know "JP" even though he was a classmate of our son's. Our deepest sympathy for the loss of your son, a very brave young man. Many of the entries in this guest book echo our feelings but so much more eloquently than we ever could so we pray this Bible verse conveys how we feel about his (and your) ultimate sacrifice. God bless James and you.

I am so sorry for the loss everyone has had to experience with JP. He was an absolutely amazing guy, and there is honestly no other person like him. He always knew what to say to make someone laugh when they needed to. Hopefully during the vigil and the funeral, JP got the chance to see how many people truly loved him and how many of us consider him a hero. You were one of a kind JP and everyone will miss you a ton!

I hope you find comfort in these words, my daughter was in the 101st airborne division so I can feel your pain. God bless and strengthen you.
Letter from Heaven
To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say-
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
O'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I"m out of sight.
Remember that I"m with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and he said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they"ll be here later on.
I need you here badly; your part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."
God gave me a sist of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you...in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years,
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain,
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb.
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time,
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night..."My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented...that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed qlong the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go...from that body to be free,
remember you're not going....you're coming here to me.
