Just saw your son perform on The Voice and I sat here thinking about how proud his dad must be up in Heaven.
I served with the 1st ID "big red 1" in Iraq in 04-05 and I was in Afghanistan 07 when you made the ultimate sacarfice. From the bottom of my heart, I wanted to thank you for your service. You will not be forgotten brother.
Your son has a great voice too. If he signs back up next season, he will make 4 chairs turn! Guaranteed ! I don't know what it is, but something pushed me to write this. I've never done anything like this before. I hope this message carries on!
Much appreciation and Respect

A HERO MAY HAVE DEPARTED, BUT HE LIVES IN THE HEARTS OF THOSE HE TOCHED...
Five years ago today our family lost not only a Grandson, a Son, a Brother, a Father, a Uncle, a Cousin, a Friend, our family lost a HERO. Timothy, although you have departed from us, you will continue to be in our HEARTS. The many lives that you touched either they be family or friends, the cherished memories will live on forever. We wanted to leave a little note for you. We never had a chance to meet but I am sure you know who we are looking down from heaven. We are friends of Adrian, Ash, and Florence. My son is Adrians best friend. They are known as "Shake N Bake" at church such great boys. I want you to know they speak highly of you and miss you dearly. They are great, wonderful, caring teenagers and I love them both. I know you are proud of them. I tell Adrian he is my step son such a great young man who is growing up so fast. He wears your ring around his neck all the time and has your picture on his desk at home to me that is so special. I just adore him. Ash is a beautiful young lady and has talent!!! She is going to make it big one day!I wish we could have met you... one day we will have that chance to. We want you to know you are not forgotton and are in our prayers always!!!

The Wind on The Downs

“I like to think of you as brown and tall,
As strong and living as you used to be,
In khaki tunic, Sam Brown belt and all,
And standing there and laughing down at me.
Because they tell me, dear, that you are dead,
Because I can no longer see your face,
You have not died, it is not true, instead
You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe;
I hear you laughing as you used to do,
Yet loving all the things I think of you;
And knowing you are happy, should I grieve?
You follow and are watchful where I go.”

(Written by Marian Allen during World War l )

Two lines that I wish you to keep near your heart…….

“You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe”

I did not know Paul, but I am remembering
his service and sacrifice. He is my hero. !

The Other Side

i'm over on the other side
where life and death softly divide.
left my skin and bones behind
now i'm over on the other side.

can you feel me there with you?
my breath is gone but i'm not through.
loved you then and i still do
from over on the other side.

i can fly. really fly.
below the earth ... all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.

it's good here on the other side.
the sweetest songs...the bluest skies.
thank you for the tears you cried
but it's good here on the other side.

i can fly. really fly. below the earth...all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side

the world is smaller than a needle's eye.
where life and death softly divide.
when you leave your skin and bones behind
i'll be waiting on the other side.

i can fly. really fly. below the earth ... all through the sky.
go tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.

SGT.Sanchez, you were one of the first soldiers I got introduced to in 121 signal batt in Germany, your passion for work, and your work ethic shined, you did alot for the people around, even after hours you would still work, you separated work from play and those nights at "MY PLACE" downtown singing karaoke was the best memories, besides tackling field problem after field problem, SGT. Sanchez you are a inspiration to me, you will always be thought of, I am finishing up my second tour now here in BIAP I jus want to say it was good to know you brother, to the family and friends I know this is really late and forgive me, it took me awhile to find out what happened much repect Tim much respect....SGT.Luna,Roque

There is nothing that I can say or do to take away the pain or bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer you and your family my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.

Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.

I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON, a dear family friend who joined the Army with three other friends, one of whom is my son (Le Ron was killed in action on 07/06/07 at the age of 18) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.

I met Paul once years ago while his mom was cutting my hair. He was such a nice looking young man. Kathy(mom) loved talking about him. I prayed for Timothy and his family his first tour, and then again this last tour. I pray for all our men and women serving this country. I thank God for Timothy who was willing to give up his life to help preserve our freedom. I'm sure it is a comfort to his family and friends that he was ready to meet his Maker when his time on Earth was up. He will never be forgotten for the sacrifice he made. I will continue to say a prayer for his family and other families in the same situation. Memories cannot be taken from us, they will last forever.

“Soldier”
Written to Honor the Service of Our Fallen Soldiers

Soldiers write history, we pay the price
Many miles distant, you live the life
Entered the Battle of our own free will
Out of Duty for Country, and we’d do it still

We hope and pray that all will find peace
In God, in the flag, in memories of valor
Gone now, our pride and courage you see
“An Army of One” our motto forever

Willing to risk all for love of our Brothers
We’re still Your Soldiers…and we showed the way
Our Lives too short, now pray for the others
Lived free died Heroes in lands far away

Deep within souls all cherished our Service
We’ll always have what some never know
Courage and Honor, our names forever
Lived life with purpose…just our time to go

We march in the Heavens with Honor and Glory
Missions accomplished we fought the Good Fight
Many years from now…we’ll tell the full story
Until that Day we will live in the Light

Our lives we laid down in a land far away
Still watching o’er you this night and by day
No need to talk…just know we are with you
There in your hearts and we hear what you pray

Yes we are your soldiers
Our lives we laid down
Still We guard o’er you
Still Duty bound

Entered the Battle of our own free will
Out of Duty for Country, and we’d do it still
We’ll always have what some never know
Lived life with purpose…it was our time to go

Timothy,
(My Big Brother, my only brother.)

I can't believe your gone. I Miss you so much, all this still seems as if it were a dream. I wish I would wake up from this terrible dream. I never thought anything could happen to you because to me you were SUPERMAN.

Thank you for always taking care of me, thank you for always being my protector from day one. You have always been a perfect son to Mom and Dad, a wonderful uncle to Courtney and Erin, a great father to Ashliegh and Adrian, a loving husband to Kym and the best brother I could ever have.(Even though you choked me that one time we were fighting over the house phone.I just had to mention that.) But other than that, you were always there for me and our family. Even though we hardly said "I love you", I believe we both knew we loved each other very much.We were never good at saying good-bye and this ones even harder. But I know you will always be here with us.

It hurts to know that I will never be able to see you, hug you or receive another phone call from you but,I know that your in a better place and watching over all of us. We are all very proud of you and we will remember you each and everyday for the rest of our lives. You have done great things for your family and your country, and I will make sure that Ashliegh, Adrian, Courtney and Erin know what a brave Hero you were.

You left a great impression on everyone who knew you and even those who didn't. You touched everyone just by being you. Everyone mentions you were always smiling and that's the way we will always remember you as,smilling.

Don't worry about us we'll be okay you just take care of everything up there. Until we see each other again take care and I love you very, very much. I'm gonna miss you, Timothy.

You are our American Soldier and our True Hero.

Your sister,
Tina

To the Sanchez family, Tim was a very good friend and co-worker of mine @ the Associates and I want to let you know that you will be in my prayers. Tim loved his family and talked about them all the time. Be proud of your son, brother , husband and father he is a HERO that will never be forgotten. Everytime I see a purple truck I will think of Tim and him being one of a kind. You could not know Tim and not love him, he was always there to lend a helping hand. I would always tell him that he was so mature for his age and such a responsible young man (9) yrs ago. He proved that responsibility right up to the end by serving his country. Miss you friend!!!!

Dear Tim –

As I sit here writing you this letter, I can’t help but wonder what the scene up in heaven looks like. I imagine you being in the throne room sitting next to Jesus himself. He opened the windows of heaven so you could look down on us today as we celebrate your life. I can hear Jesus telling you, “Look my son…look and see how much they love you.” I can see your smiling handsome face looking down on us but there are no tears in your eyes because Jesus wiped them all away Himself the minute you stepped into eternity. I believe the instant you took your last breath here on earth, you were in the presence of the King. I imagined you running like a child into the arms of Jesus and as He held you close to Him, He whispered in your ear, “Welcome home, son!” I can see you being so overwhelmed with happiness as Jesus showed you the scars in His side, hands and feet…and He looked at you and said, “I did it for you.” Then he took you by the hand, walked you into the majesty of heaven and with a smile on His face, He told you, “Well done, good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of your Lord.”

I know you are in a beautiful and glorious place. I know you are seeing sights that are so phenomenally beautiful, our minds can’t even begin to comprehend. I guess what I am trying to say is that I know in my mind that I should be happy you are in such a place, but my heart has such an awful ache because that is where I miss you the most. I have known you my whole life. I remember all of us as kids being at Grandma and Grandpa’s house, playing inside, then outside, inside again, and then getting in trouble for going in and out so much that Grandma finally put us all outside whether we wanted to be out there or not. It was all of us playing hide and seek, freeze tag, colored eggs, or fighting over the tire swing. We had more fun than we could handle. We didn’t have a lot of other friends because we had so many cousins. Whenever there was no school, there we all were at Grandma’s house…we didn’t know life any other way. I regret that as adults, all of us did not stay as close to each other but I have learned through the loss of Aunt Sara, Aunt Becky and now you, it doesn’t change how much we love each other or how much it hurts when we lose one of our own. In fact, it makes us appreciate every minute we have here on this earth…surrounded by the people we love and people who love us.

I thank God for the time we had you here with us. You have touched more lives than you will ever know. I feel blessed that my own children got the chance to know you and love you in their own way. You were an amazing and honorable son, grandson, brother, husband, father, uncle, nephew, cousin, friend and, of course, a soldier. But if you really want to know what you are to every person who knows you………you are our hero! You gave your life for our country and we are forever grateful. You have brought unspeakable honor to your family and friends and I mean it with all my heart when I say we will never forget you. I love you, Timothy. You ran the race well, you kept the faith, now, enter in the joy of your Lord, get lost in His beauty and majesty, the day will soon come where we will all join you and together we will worship the Lord forever.

With all my love....

Kathy and Paul. I still have no words to express how sad and how unreal it seems that Timothy has been laid to rest. As a mother to another you have my prayers. I would like to share the following poem with you.

You captured by heart thirty-two years ago.
And yet it seems like yesterday.
There was so much I had left to say.
I asked God for strength to let you go.

Not every mother and son developes the kind of bond we've had.
When loving words were forgotten to be said, A smile, a touch or even a thought were easily read.

I know I must go on living and give you back to the One who lent you to me.
Someday we'll meet again for I have God's promise that your lovely face I'll see.

So sit and talk with The Father and The Son.
I will be there just as soon as my race is run.
For now, goodnight, and sleep tight my beautiful little boy.

Tim we'll miss you, our "G. I. Joe".

Love, Aunt Dianne De La Torre (Cedar Hill, Tx)

Sanchez/DeLaTorre Family - today I witnessed a true hero's burial. The Patriot Riders, the soldiers who carried Tim's casket, the flags flying, the eulogies, the General presenting Tim's medals to his wife - they were all such an honor to see and be a part of. Thank you for raising such a strong, brave man who was willing to give everything and anything to protect his family, his wife, his children and their freedom. God Bless you and strengthen you through your time of trial. Tim is in heaven now watching over all of us - he's a true soldier of God.
