Kenneth T. Hartman

Kenneth T. Hartman, 87, of Irving, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on February 12, 2026.

Ken was born July 10, 1938, in Tipton, Missouri, to Vic and Geneva Hartman. He married Sharon, October 19th, 1963. He later made his home in Irving, Texas, where he built a life centered on faith, family, and dedication to his work and community.

Ken spent his professional career as an analytical food chemist and successfully owned a laboratory for 30+ years. Outside of work, his greatest joy came from time spent with his family.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Sharon, his grandson, Tyler Nelson and his brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Barbara Hartman.

Left to cherish his memory are his children; Brian (Elizabeth) Hartman, Jennifer (Rusty) Troy and Jeannie Nelson; Grandchildren; Alexandria Hartman (Rafael Hernandez), Nicholas Hartman, Kennedy Troy, Jake Troy, Kelsay Nelson, Victoria (Ian) Bird and Chance Nelson; Great Grandchildren, Oliver Bird, Abigail Bird and soon to arrive, Owen Bird; and brother, Jerry Hartman; in-laws; Jan Kelsay, Joy (Russ) Boudria, Bev Kelsay (Vince Baker), Lisa Mahaney, Brent Kelsay, Val Kelsay (CJ Brady) and many beloved extended family members.

His funeral mass will be Tuesday, February 17th, 2026, at 2pm, at the University of Dallas, Church of the Incarnation, with the burial to follow at the Oak Grove Memorial Garden in Irving. Family and friends may visit Monday, February 16th, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM at he Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway, Irving, TX.
