I was just in third grade when I heard of Sgt. Wallace´s passing during a school-wide moment of silence. It was a surreal moment for me as a child and it´s stuck with me since. I never knew Brandon but I think of him often. Brandon will never be forgotten. Home of the free because of the brave. Thank you for your service, Brandon. Rest in peace.

Follow The Rainbow To Heaven.
=======================================
A Soldier had die out on the
battlefield;
Broken hearts are weeping For
Them,
But take comfort of knowing
that God had sent Them a
rainbow from heaven;
The Souls of the Soldiers
have gone to there home
in heaven,
Our Loved One's has follow
God's lovely rainbow in the
sky;
All the way to the end of the
sky.
That leads all the way to the
other end of the Lord's
house in heaven,
So just keep on praying and
trust that God will send us
that same rainbow in the sky;
Where Our Loved One's are
waiting For You and For Me at
the end of the rainbow in
heaven.

I first heard of Brandon Wallace yesterday when reading the New York Times, and I wept over this dear one as if he were a member of my own family. I too lost a son, so I know how hard it is to part with a beloved child. My heart, love and gratitude go out to this amazing young man's family, friends and loved ones. I truly appreciate his colossal sacrifice.

“I like to think of you as brown and tall,
As strong and living as you used to be,
In khaki tunic, Sam Brown belt and all,
And standing there and laughing down at me.
Because they tell me, dear, that you are dead,
Because I can no longer see your face,
You have not died, it is not true, instead
You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe;
I hear you laughing as you used to do,
Yet loving all the things I think of you;
And knowing you are happy, should I grieve?
You follow and are watchful where I go.”

Brandon brought so much joy to my life. Whenever I'm having a hard time, I think about him and smile. He was there for me during one of the most difficult times of my life and I will never forget it because he made me smile and laugh through those times and that gave me strenght to make it through. What a true hero to all of us. As I read these pages about your son and brother I am touched. I remember seeing him on a special tribute to our fallen soldiers on channel 5. I remember him the most cause of the love that I felt vibrating between his sisters and the kiss they shared together. Your son had a beautiful smile an I am proud to say one day I will see him in heaven. You know the lord works in mysterious ways and we are not to question why. Just remember all the good times you had together. Thanks for raising a fine young man that layed down his life so that my grandchildren may know FREEDOM. Dear Brandon,
I remember the first day I met you. We where in training together in Indiana at 88M course. You have always made me laugh, no matter how down I was about something. You, Dawn, an Tyler where the best friends I had there. I miss our quote unquote double dates we use to have, an you telling me to hurry up with my shopping. That last dinner we had together, I will never forget. I only took 5mintues in the PX so I could hurry up an for us 4 to get to dinner. I remember you, being in shock about how fast it was. You told me that it was a world record. The italian place was a good place to eat. How about the time Dawn brought out the sunglasses at the resturant at the airforce base? You turned red as beet. It was funny. I am going to miss you and you will always remain in my memories forever. You will never be forgotton. I am so glad I got to know you and to be your friend. I love you bro and I will see you soon one day.

There is nothing that I can say or do to take away the pain or bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer you and your family my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.
Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.
I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON, a dear family friend who joined the Army with three other friends, one of whom is my son (Le Ron was killed in action on 07/06/07 at the age of 18) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.
REST IN PEACE, HERO, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!!

“Soldier”
Written to Honor the Service of Our Fallen Soldiers
Soldiers write history…they pay the price
Many miles distant, you live the life
Entered the Battle of our own free will
Out of Duty for Country, and we’d do it still
We hope and pray that all will find peace
In God, in the flag, in memories of valor
Gone now, our pride and courage you see
“An Army of One” our motto forever
Willing to risk all for love of our Brothers
We’re still Your Soldiers…and we showed the way
Our Lives too short, now pray for the others
Lived free died Heroes in lands far away
Deep within souls all cherished our Service
We’ll always have what some never know
Courage and Honor, our names forever
Lived life with purpose…just our time to go
We march in the Heavens with Honor and Glory
Missions accomplished we fought the Good Fight
Many years from now…we’ll tell the full story
Until that Day we will live in the Light
Our lives we laid down in a land far away
Still watching o’er you this night and by day
No need to talk…just know we are with you
There in your hearts and we hear what you pray
Yes we are your soldiers
Our lives we laid down
Still We guard o’er you
Still Duty bound
Entered the Battle of our own free will
Out of Duty for Country, and we’d do it still
We’ll always have what some never know
Lived life with purpose…it was our time to go

To Brandon's family,
I met Brandon at Camp Atterbury while he was preparing to go to Iraq. He was an absolute delight. Always a smile and joking about something. I was looking forward in seeing him again when his unit would come back through Camp Atterbury. Today I got a surprise, when a SPC Urbina walked into my office and started talking about a fallen soldier she was to marry. She reached into her uniform an showed me a picture of him. Trying to hold back my tears, I could only tell her about the good times talking with Brandon in my office. You see, Brandon was one of my clients for a short time. I was his nurse casemanager. He would always comment,please don't find anything wrong with me to keep me from deploying to Iraq. If I ever had a favorite soldier Brandon was it. He would just stop by and say Hi to me even after I had cleared him to deploy. I had no idea he had lost his life doing what he expected of himself. What a lovely son and I know he was protected in God's arms. It was evident that God was important in his life. I am so sorry your family has had to go through this. My prayers are with you. His fellow soldiers of the 1451 have been talking to me also about Brandon and are grieving his lost,but only utter good words about him especially his smile. What a blessing he had to be for them.

Ricky, Robin, Rachael, and Sarah,
It seems just yesterday Brando and I were upstairs @ 10th st thinking of dynamic ways to get in trouble. Like the time I wrecked my dad's truck and Brandon started laughing at the story I was telling my dad about how it happened, while my dad was still there. I wanted to let you all know that the day after the funeral my wife and I had a doctors appt. My wife is pregnant and we found out we are having another son. My wife has been pregnant for five months, For some reason we have not been able to come up with a name. Now I have one my son will be named Brandon Rhodes. I will miss your son so much. The times we spent camping out at the farm are some of my favorite childhood memories. The time we recorded "Family Tradition" at Six Flags before the Aaron Tippin concert. Please stay in contact with me. Brandon I will never forget you. I love you and miss you.

I must say that I have truly seen the word of God become the LIVING word, through the life of Brandon Lee Wallace. I can see that he was a man fully persuaded of the gospel of Jesus Christ. He lived by the scripture... "no way we are not ashamed of the gospel". What an impact that man made in my life from the night he was born. I have seen how he wore the breastplate of rightouesness, he kept his feet shod with the gospel of peace, and when he had done all he could do to stand, he still stood, with the power of the Lord. What a mighty valliant warrior he was. My sweet nephew, I am sooooo proud of you.
Love, Aunt Kenda "Lee Wallace" Ahart

To the family of Brandon Wallace:
My name is Dontez Brock. I had the honor and privilege of working with Brandon while attending World Harvest Bible College in Columbus Ohio. He would come into work and make the co-workers and I laugh the whole time, and if you felt down that day you could be sure Brandon was going to pick on you until you felt better. To be completely honest I would look forward to going to work so I could see Brandon. That's how much joy he gave everybody. He was an influential man and a strong leader. It saddens me to hear of his sudden passing, but he continues to live on in the hearts and minds off all those he has touched. May God continue to strengthen you and uphold you in this time of grieving. (Numbers 6:24-26)

April 24, 2007
Dear Rachel and Sarah,
I know your sorrow and the pain you feel right now. I also know the calm peace that you feel at times and the the smiles and laughter when you share the funny stories of your brother with friends.
I, too, lost my only brother, Lt. Kent Michael Kiepe, of Festus. He was a naval aviator who died in the service of our country in 1992. He was 29, I was 32. He was the light of our family.
Your brother is now everyone's hero. I know the comfort you felt as you traveled down Main Street on that sad trek to Jefferson Barracks. Somehow the saddest time of your life was comforted by the multitudes of friends and "strangers" there to honor your brother.
This saddest of times will give way to a pride unlike anything you've ever experienced. Brandon will ALWAYS be with you and you WILL see him again. It is obvious to everyone that Brandon lived his adult life with God first. Kent lived his life the same way. Our promise is that we WILL be with them again.
Take comfort if knowing that we all share your sorrow. Our community will not be the same without him, but we will be better BECAUSE of him. We will NEVER forget Brandon. Keep his memory alive. He will continue to be a source of inspiration for all of us.
I will pray for the two of you and your parents. Please contact me if you need to talk about a brother you will always love and remember.

Dear Robin, Rachel, Sarah Beth & family,
We can't begin to express the sadness we feel. Having met Brandon I know what a wonderful young man he was- full of life & smiles. We love Rachel as our own niece & we have also come to love Sarah Beth as well. We are so glad that David brought you all into our family. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. We love you.

To the family of Brandon Wallace:
You are all in my thoughts and prayers as you go through this time of loss. God will give you strength where there seems to be none. He'll give you peace where there seems to be only unrest. Lean on Him and He will be your all in all. He loves you.

To Brandon's family -- my heart is breaking for the loss you suffered. I have seen the family in different interviews and the closeness and love for your fallen solder is so obvious and fulfilling. My family lost our beautiful soldier and Hero, Sgt. Amanda Pinson just a little over a year ago. She lived in Lemay and was honored to have the PGR and hundreds of supporters escort her to her final resting place at Jefferson Barracks in March 2006. Knowing Amanda, she will for sure take Brandon under her angel wings and "show him the ropes" in heaven. God Bless you all and if there is anything we can do or if you just want to cry together, feel free to contact us. Hooah, Sgt. Wallace! RIP.

I have no words that would be able to lift the burden you feel today. Just know that you have alot of people who you don't even know who will be lifting you and your family up in Prayer. Being in the Army myself I know we all face many dangers each and everyday but for the love of our country and families we do it with honor. Brandon is a Hero and will always be rememberd as such.

TO THE FAMILY OF BRANDON WALLACE. EVEN THOUGH I HAVE NEVER MET YOU I JUST WANT TO TAKE THE TIME TO SAY I AM TRULY SORRY FOR THE LOSS OF YOUR SON. I HAD THE HONOR AND PRIVILEDGE OF MEETING AND WORKING WITH BRANDON. WHEN HE WAS HERE AT WORLD HARVEST CHURCH. HE ALSO SPENT SOME TIME AT MY HOUSE WITH MY SON. GOD REALLY BLESSED YOU WITH A PRECIOUS SON AND BROTHER. I COULD SAY A WHOLE LOT OF THINGS ABOUT BRANDON AS I AM SURE EVERYONE CAN. HE WAS JUST THAT KIND OF PERSON. BUT THE MAIN THING I WANT TO SAY ABOUT HIM IS HE WAS A TRUE CHILD OF GOD AND HE CARRIED GOD IN HIS HEART AT ALL TIMES. YOUR SON WAS LIKE A BROTHER TO MY SON AND HE BROUGHT MY SON OUT OF THE SLUMP HE WAS IN. BRANDON WILL BE GREATLY MISSED AND HE WILL BE IN OUR HEARTS FOREVER. AND MY HEART GOES OUT TO EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU.

Dear Mrs Robin, Ricky and family,
I feel I'm writing as a family member, since your beloved daughter Rachael has become a part of our family since her marrage to David our grandson. Our heart swelled with almost unbearable grief and shock when we recieved the news last Saturday morning. I remember Brandon so well because he was in the wedding as well as helping in one of David's revivals here in Clinton, SC.He sure was a handsome guy. I'm sure his fiance is devestated.
Please know that our prayers are with you for grace and strength of the Lord Jesus Christ to susutain you since you know what it means to trust Him.
O death where is thy sting? O grave where is thy victory? Thanks be unto God who giveth us the victory through Jesus Christ His Son.
We will be in touch with you later.
Your family members

Greater Love has no man than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13
My heart and condolences go to the Wallace family and Brandon's fiance Dawn. I served with SGT Wallace in Iraq. He was a beautiful person. He always had a smile and encouragement for others. I enjoyed hearing him play his guitar. I will always remember the 'blues jam session' we had with a few of our fellow soldiers. It is hard to put into words how his spirit touched so many around him. I know he had a deep love for Dawn. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
