Hey Chris, It's been 3 years since we had the honor of riding with you on the Illinois Freedom Run. We will be there on Saturday. The back seat of my bike is open and you are more than welcome to ride to the wall with me. We are leaving the house around 6:30 AM......if you're not here, you know how to catch me. :-) Regardless, I'll see you at the wall my friend. Thank you for your service.

It's been so long but yet seems like yesterday. I remember laughing and joking around with you about "Mr.Washington" on the dollar bill. It never hit me how much I truly cared for you and valued our relationship on this earth until you left. You were there for me when I was young and I was there for you when you were gone. From my beginning to your end I love you and am grateful to have known a great funny uncle like you. Thank you so much and I have a Mr. Washington with your name on it. Until we meet again!

Uncle chris i miss you so much, i hate that you never got to meet my family. But we probably needed an angel...i catch myself remembering my kid days with you, i cant help but laugh cause thr is no sad or unhappy memories. My daughters would have loved you as much as i do. My twins have your chin & everytime they smile i see you cause they have big grinch smiles like you did. I hopefully getting married soon & i know you will be thr in spirit. Hilda and I have been honored to receive letters and phone calls by all your friends. we have been asked if we could show all the awards and pictures that we have received of you. We told them that we would be honored to do so. we have put togeather a small video of the year 2006 of Dec. that was the last time that you were in lubbock. but most of all i want you to know that everyone is proud of you and miss you so much. with out you and the other soliders who put their lives in danger in order for us to have our freedom we just want to say thank you and we miss you.

Hey Chris just wanted to let the family and friends know that we had another great ride here in IL for the IL Freedom Run. I'm glad you could be there to ride with us. Just wanted to keep everyone updated on the new flag flying at the Middle East Conflict Memorial Wall. It was unveiled today and it now flys underneath the POW/MIA flag...and it couldn't be more fitting. It is call the Honor and Remember flag. The website is www.honorandremember.org. It is a beautiful flag and it looks great flying on the flag pole under the pow/mia flag. Same time next year Sgt. Chris!! Anytime you want a ride, you know where the bikes are parked! Hey little brother, I finally got to talk to talk to Casey and Blade, my how those kids look exactly like you, looking at those two is just like looking at you, Blade has all your character, you know the two of you would have passed as twins. They talked about how much they loved you and missed you, I let them know as im sure you always told them how much you loved them. I also got to see and talk to Jakie, he still looks the same only taller, he too has alot of your features, he too is a very lively boy full of energy as you were too. They really miss you little brother, I made them videos and pictures so that they can remember their daddys face and smile, they were surprised at all the pictures we had with you holding them in your arms. Im sure you are smiling down at them everyday. I really miss you too, thinking about you always. I love you.

As a Vietnam Veteran and the State Chaplain of the Georgia Sons Of The American Revolution, I speak for our President, Charlie A. Newcomer, III and more than 1,400 SAR members around the State of Georgia in humbly expressing the condolences of a grateful Society. Wrapped in the integrity of service to our nation and the inestimable values of duty, honor and country, your American hero stood on a wall of freedom for us all. His life and his love of country epitomized every attribute of patriotism the Sons Of The American Revolution hold dear. And, as Americans, we could never repay the debt we owe him ..!! My heart breaks again as I sign yet another guest book of another courageous young soldier who gave their life so selflessly. To the Family and Friends of this Soldier:
I will stand in grief with this soldier's family to honor him. For every fallen HERO there is a bright star that shines in the evening sky to remind us of the cherished gift we were given – even if for too short a time.
My heart breaks again as I sign yet another guest book of another courageous young soldier who gave their life so selflessly. I wish I never found myself in a position to have to sign another guestbook for the rest of my life, but I promised Brent that neither he nor any like him would be forgotten and so I will continue until the day there is no longer the need.
We lost our son SFC Brent A. Adams on 12/1/05 and it seems like yesterday. I wish so badly there were things I could say to you right now to make the pain you are feeling go away, but I know first hand there simply are no words that will bring you the comfort and peace your heart aches for. Just know that you are not alone. My heart, thoughts, and prayers are with you all as you go through this tragedy moment by moment and as you mourn this loss.
We don't know each other, will probably never meet, but will forever be united in the loss of our Heroes. We have, unfortunately joined a group none of us wanted to join, an ever-growing group of families in this situation. May God grant you peace and strength to get through this and be able once again to smile at a memory rather than have only the tears that flow so easily now. To be so proud of your loved one and so saddened at the same time is a mix of emotions very difficult to deal with as our hearts both burst with pride and pain together.
I am sorry that I never knew your soldier personally. While they can never be replaced, neither will they ever be forgotten. You must trust that sometime, someday the loving memories you have will help to sustain you and help you go on. This courageous soldier will forever be your Angel watching over you all for the rest of your lives. It's what brings me some measure of peace and comfort and I hope it will you as well.
To his family and friends in pain, I offer this comfort: When you find yourself in that dark sorrowful place, think not only of how you will miss him, but instead recall the years, days, hours and minutes gifted to you by his presence. The one thing that cannot be taken from you is your wonderful memories that now will mean more than ever.
